Powers

{Chapter 1}

              "Breakfast is ready!", I heard my mom say loudly as I walked down the stairs looking like I was going to fall asleep right on the stairs. I don't know why breakfast had to be so early in the morning. Every day the time for breakfast is always 6:00 am in the morning. I just wish I could sleep in for at least a day. "Good morning sweet pea.", She said as she gave a quick kiss on my cheek and put the plate infront of me. I looked across the table and saw my brother Jack at the other end sneering at me. He always does that when I get up late. It's not really my fault that I get up late. I get barley any sleep when my room is right next to his room and he is playing videogames till 2:00 am in the morning.

             I grabbed a clean glass cup nearby and watched it as water filled in the cup. I suddenly stopped when my hands got cold and wet. At the conner of my eye I saw my brother watching and I stuck my tongue out at him and he gave me a hard look and left the table madly. He gets jealous alot when I use my powers just because he doesn't have any. But I really don't feel bad for him because he hates me alot. " Hannah do you have homework to complete?", My mom said. I always have homework over the weekends and I hate it. The teachers think that we apparently are not getting enough homework which is crazy. I responded with a firm answer saying yes and went straight to my room to start. Honestly, the whole entire time I was wishing that I could set the homework on Fire. I mean I could but I don't wanna get in trouble or have to explain to my teacher what happened. Especially when this is a secret now. 

              My powers are a secret from everyone except for my family. I'm still getting into control over them but I'm not all the way good at it. That's why I don't use them alot. First of all when I use my water powers for a long time my hands tend to get really wet wich I really don't mind. But then after a while they start to get cold. It starts hurting after a while and I never managed to try to see what happens when I ignore the freezing feel to my hands. I also have fire too. Same thing when I use it for too long. Except they just get really hot. Now I cannot stand it burning my hands so I don't use fire alot. I also have air and nature. I also can't use that for long because it makes me weak. Once I had tried to see what would happen if I could stand it longer....  but I only had passed out. It was frightening but funny because it freaked out my parents so bad they brought me to the hospital right away. They could of just checked my pulse and my breathing and figured I was out. But they didn't. I heard something from my window out side in a near by tree. I jumped and looked out of my window and gasped what I had seen.

So sorry guys for the short chapter. This is my first story and first chapter that I had ever created. There could possibly be some typos but please ignore those. Also updates might be slow due to having school, homework, shopping, and being busy on other stuff. Hope y'all have a blessed day/night!
