I Ship It

Chapter 1

It was 10am and Jordan was sipping her coffee and looking at memes on her phone at the park waiting for lindsey to show up when she got a whiff of perfume, more like entranced by it. She looked up from her phone to see where it was coming from, she knew exactly who it was. She felt like this cartoon character who gets a whiff of their favorite food and gets floaty and carried by their scent, she felt like that. They have been working together for almost a year, they became fast friends and would meet up on their days off to have breakfast together once every weekend, a little secret, Jordan hated waking up in the mornings, she was not a morning person at all yet here she was. They could hang out more but Jordan preferred to stay in, she was a homebody, whereas lindsey was the complete opposite.

She waved over her "crush" as she smiled and got up to greet her, "Lindsey, how are you? I thought you were gonna be late"

They hugged, Jordan held a second longer then intended so that she could take in her scent, weirdo. Although the object of her affection didn't know she was the one Jordan was pining over. Lindsey was 5'1", slim and had a very nice body, she had natural dark auburn hair that she kept past her shoulders, naturally straight which Jordan kinda despised because her dark black hair was wavy, she wanted straight, the only thing she wanted straight about herself. Lol.

"Either you really like hugs or you hug me longer to remind me how short iam" said lindsey trying to pull away.

"why are you short people always so quick to getting angry? Like a chihuahua, death before dishonor kinda deal"

Lindsey lightly punched her in the arm as she smiled at the comment. "you think you're funny? I'll let this comment pass because it was funny"

"iam a joy to be around" smirked Jordan.

"lets go get breakfast, iam starving, I skipped dinner last night too." Lindsey linked her arm around Jordan's as they started walking to Katy's place, a breakfast place knows for its eggs benedicts. Lets just say Lindsey was a little ball of fun and good energy and was touchy feely with people close to her.

"what? I asked you if you wanted to grab dinner after work but you said you had plans, I thought you had a date or something, and remember I don't like going out but I was willing to"

"I did have a date, and it was sweet of you to offer by the way"

The two words struck something in Jordan's heart, she pretended to look at something else other then her companion. "must've been some night to miss dinner"

"it was quite the night and the date I had was with my bed, I got 10 hours of sleep, iam quiet serious about my sleep you know, me and my pillow have quite the relationship," Lindsey finished.

Jordan now cracking a smile turned her head to look at her. "10 hours huh?"

"don't judge me, do you know how hard it is adulting? Of course you do, but still, getting enough sleep is impossible especially with the work that we do."

They both worked at a law firm which had multiple offices all over the state, 25 in total, Jordan was the IT manager for the firm located in their county and Lindsey was one of 5 IT persons in their building to keep all things connected with their sister company all over the state. As time went by Jordan started liking Lindsey more and more. She was the only person she would go out her way to spend time with outside of work, she would take any moment she would get with her although at work she kept things strictly professional.

They reached their destination shortly and got seated after a 10 minute wait.

After they got their food, Jordan quirked her eyebrow at her.
