As I walked the streets of Sydney I pulled out my phone seeing I had a message from Michael,

get ur ass here b4 I eat ur share of pizza dumbass.

I replied with an okay and walked over the bridge, taking a shortcut. it was about 11pm and nobody was around. I looked up and back down to my feet as I walked but did a double take as I saw a dark figure standing on the other side of the railing - the wrong side - and walked over to him.

he had blond hair that had fallen flat on his face and he had tear tracks down his cheeks.

"uh, I think you should reconsider your actions," I shouted.

he snapped his head up and looked at me, "I mean, it's already raining, imagine how cold that water is."

"I don't give a shit how cold the water is, I'm here to die, just leave me alone it's none of your business"

I stepped closer to him, and reached out my hand towards him, "c'mon, you don't have to do this..."

"luke, my name is Luke"

I stepped closer again, "Luke, I'm Ashton, and your life must suck if you're willing to do this, but trust me, you don't have to, it gets better!"

he turned slowly so he was facing me, "it doesn't get better! everybody says that but they've all left me!"

"just... Luke, come over onto the bridge, give me 48 hours, okay?"

he furrowed his eyebrows and looked me in the eyes, "48 hours? for what?"

I placed my hand on top of his, and he looked at our hands placed on the cold, wet railing, "to let me show you how to be happy again."
