"Hey Eliza! Do you have any fun plans for today?" asked my room roommate, Kassidey, as I put on my old gringo cowgirl boots.

"Probably just doing my homework. I don't want to do any homework tomorrow." They both sigh in confirmation. It's only been a week since college started and I already feel so behind. It's really hard and there's nothing you can do about it. You take these classes, work as hard as you can, and pray that you get an A on everything. I love my classes. I'm taking a basic math and English class, racquetball, a intro to theatre class, and media studies. It's pretty great, but I feel so overwhelmed and I'm only a week into the semester. I just need to set my priorities straight and I'll be just fine. My roommates are awesome. There's Kassidey, who's my room roommate. She's from Pennsylvania and is majoring in pre-med. This is her second year here. I was pretty shocked because you would think that it would just be first years living here, but she likes it here, and most of her friends are still living in these dorms. I guess there's a lot more than I thought.

Then there's Symphony and Charolite. They're both third years. Symphony is a creative writing major from Washington and Charolite is a deaf studies major from Rhode Island. It's exciting how well we're getting along, and we always seem to go out to the park together and do homework. It's really nice because we also get free wireless out there. You may not think that that's important now, but wait till you get to college. You'll then understand.

"Okay class," announced my Fundamentals of Literature teacher, Mr.  Glance. Before I let you all go today, I want to set you all up with you're partners and literature assignments. Up on the projector he had a list of all partners names and the short story each of us would read. When I finally saw my name, I looked and saw my partners name: Doug Henry. It shockingly didn't take long to find him. We both didn't have class for the rest of the day, so we decided to meet up afterward. It was around lunch time, so we went out to lunch to go figure everything out. I found out that he was from New Jersey and that he wants to become an editor for "Times" magazine. He's super nice, and it's fun hanging out with him. I hope we do get to hang out more.
