The noises are everywhere.

Its so dark.

The screaming is getting louder.

I can't control it.

Help.

It becomes too much for me. I fall to the floor and cover my ears to try and block out the noise but it just makes them louder. There's nothing I can do.

So I scream.

Everything goes quiet.

I'm in my bedroom, in my bed, under the covers. I can see the stars through the window and the faint light coming from the streetlight outside. I feel safe. My breathing calms as I realised it was just a nightmare.

I lay back down.

My mouth feels sticky so I take a sip of water, but the feeling stays and something drips down my chin and onto the bedsheets.

Due to the dimness of the room I assumed I was having a nosebleed. I cup my nose to stop the blood dripping everywhere. I turn on the light so I can find my way to the bathroom without walking into anything.

It was black.

My blood was black?

I felt something tickle the sides of my face. My free hand instinctively reaches up to feel what it was.
When I pull away, there was a black smudge on my fingertips.

I was bleeding black gloop?

I ran to my bathroom. Leaning over the sink, I stared at myself in the mirror.

It poured out from my mouth, nose ears.

I grabbed the toilet paper in hopes that would stop it.

It didn't. The bin overflowing with black covered tissues.

I'm panicking, I don't know what to do and I start crying.

I fight to keep my eyes open as they try glueing themselves together The black liquid drips from my eyes.

I turn and run to my parents bedroom. But they weren't there.

I decided I would to go the my older brothers room to see if he was there.

I turned and saw my parents.

There were holes where their eyes should have been, their mouths were sewn up into smiles with rotting brown thread that went all the way up to their ears, their faces were dripping with the same black liquid that covered mine.

I wanted to run, turn away and erase my memory but my body was shocked and paralysed, my feet stuck to the floor and my eyes couldn't leave their faces.

There was a loud gunshot that echoed through the walls in the house. A loud ringing pierced my ears and I felt light headed.

I fell to the floor.

There was pressure against my back. My hair blowing forwards. My body limp.

I'm falling.

I took a moment to process it.

I'm falling!

I look around myself and try to turn my body to see what I think is below me.

Nothing. There's nothing there. Its just a large black space.

I close my eyes and tell myself that it isn't happening. I pinch my skin over and over and over and eventually the feeling goes.

I couldn't tell if I had opened my eyes, they hurt.

The floor was cold, hard and bumpy.
Wherever I was, the smell prickled the hairs in my nose, making my eyes water and the hair on my arms and legs stand up.

My body felt weak as I tried to stand.

Using the wall for support I slowly walked around the edges of the small room in hopes of a door, there was none.

A small whimpering sound came from the middle of the room.
It became louder. It sounded like a baby crying.

My heart felt heavy as I forgot everything and felt sorry for the small child. I walked towards it but the closer I came the more the crying sounded like cackling.

That wasn't a baby. Nor a child. I doubt I could even call it a human.
And it laughed hysterically. Its 'face' a deathly pale white yet almost transparent. Dark blue veins visible on the creatures bony body. It's nails were disgusting, yellow and sharp.
It's 'mouth' was a hollow black hole and its gums redder than blood and the small teeth stuck out crookedly and looked almost brown.

Somewhere in the sound of its laughter I thought I heard my brother.

I stopped to listen.

There it was.

It sounded just like him.

His cry sounded hurt and scared as if he were pleading for help but just that helped lift my spirits at the thought of him being here with me.

I wasn't alone!

I stared and the writhing creature on the floor as its bony fingers reached up to me and then it hit me.

I could see it in its eyes.

I prayed it wasn't happening. Not to me. Not to him. Not to it.

It wasn't possible.

No.
