It was a dark night, well, not exactly. For (Y/N), it was bright as day, even though it was midnight. She had always enjoyed stargazing, yet she was never able to find the time to learn what the constellations meant. Except for one, Andromeda, the chained maiden. Apparently she had been chained to be fed to a sea monster due to her father's bragging of her beauty. Tch, how clear all of this was a lie. (Y/N) was- Different, to say the least. While the other girls of her class used to play dress-up, she'd be in the forest hunting birds and lizards. Not even the boys would socialize with her. It didn't bother her, she told herself. It doesn't matter what they think.

She raised her head, hearing her mother calling for her. She slipped down off the roof of their house, opening the door to her house, and walking inside.

"Dear, you'll catch cold!" Her mother had exclaimed to (Y/N) as soon as she had set foot in the house.

"I can't. My quirk won't allow it. Plus, there's no way to 'catch' a cold just from being cold. You'll only get one if exposed to the bacteria." (Y/N) had replied sarcastically. Adults were supposed to be wiser, yet, she was the only one with a promising future in her household. Of course, she wouldn't dare say that out loud, she truly was thankful for her parents raising her, and dedicating money better used for other items to her wellbeing. She walked through the house, leaving her shoes near the door. As she looked around, she noticed her elder brother was sprawled along the couch, doing who-knows-what on his phone.

"You're so lazy, Daiki." You commented on your brother's antics. Of course, there was nothing else to be expected of him.

There. There it was, the buzzing. The ringing in your ears. Everytime. Why couldn't you have a single goddamned dream without it becoming like the day. That day, when everything went downhill.

The house burst into flames, your brother and parents all letting out a terrible, blood curdling shriek, almost as if on cue. The ashy scent filled your nose, along with the smell of burning flesh. It was imprinted in your soul, there was no way to escape it. Every time. Every single time you fell asleep, your dreams would be haunted.

(Y/N) woke up in a cold sweat in the forest, on a pile of leaves. It had just been a dream, like the other 64 times. 'Hah, like a minecraft stack.'

After her experience, she had changed considerably. She still wasn't normal, just, more open. Bottling it in, she had decided, did her no good, so she'd turn everything into a joke. Similar to her life, which was also a joke. Everything was a joke, according to (Y/N). Including her quirk, Spiritual Guardian. All of that spirit sh!t was a joke. How would she be able to use her quirk if everything was straight bullsh!t. Oh, you can summon spirits, just summon your family! People who thought that were morons, mules, asinines. Her quirk was nothing like that. Unless you were hinting that her family were non-sapient? That's barbaric.

(Y/N)'s quirk was called Spiritual Guardian. She was able to summon the spirits of dead forest creatures to come to her aide. Like, summoning a dove would heal her and selected others, as they're connected to peace and love. As summoning a salamander would grant her flame immunity. Summoning a bird of prey would increase her eyesight, and grant her the ability to fly, with wings resembling the aurora borealis, a flickering, green mist that granted a soft light. The strongest of the spirits she had control over, was the stag. It was a massive green wispy deer with large antlers, that took form over double your height, and only manifested in times of great need. Like on the day. Stag had appeared, in all of his grace, and led you to the forest. You could swear you heard him whispering to you, whispering to you to live.

That day forth, you decided you'd be a hero, and go to U.A high.

Ello ello! I'm actually quite excited about this, it'll be my first book :DD
I'm open to suggestions, but I did this draft on google docs, so I don't know how it'll work... .3.

My upload schedule will be very off, and there will be absolutely no smut/lemons.

That stuff is nastyyy. This is a fem!reader. The ship will be revealed later.

(Aka even I don't know who yet. Feel free to leave suggestions here!) ---->

It depends, I might make it gay or straight, I'm still thinking.

Please don't leave rude comments/replies. I want this to be a positive space.
Constructive criticism is welcome, though! If you don't like the story, you can just leave. :D

Thanks to anybody reading this, and I hope you'll enjoy the show!
