This book was published by Patrick Carman. This is the fifth book in this series!
Amy Cahill liked to be the first one up in the morning, but not if it was because someone was screaming outside her hotel room door!
"Telegram for Mr.Cahill!"
The words accompanied by a thunderous knocking. Amy bolted upright in a panic, bad ideas were floating over her head, Madrigals!
The yell came again.
"Message for you!"
Amy, Dan and their friend Nellie, have escaped from their hotel and went to a new Cairo hotel, scared that they might get attacked by the MADRIGALS, that they knoe too little about. They cant figure out where we are, can they?
Dan rolled off and fell from the fuzzy couch he was sleeping on. "No Irina! Not the Catfish Hunter!" he yelled! Amy sighed. Once again, her brother was dreaming about his annoying cousin trying to scrach his beloved baseball card with her nails.
"Wake up Dan ur dreaming!"
Amy had never felt this tired before, and as usual her brother was acting stupid.
"TELEGRAM"
The knock came again!
"Dan get the door!" "Coming!" Amy shouted.
When she reached the door, she hesitated, a familiar fear gripping her insides. What if it was a dangerous person?
Comeon, Amy, getagrip.
Amy opened the door, her eyes settling on an Egyptian bellboy standing in the hall. He was very short and wearing a red uniform with gold buttons. Between his hands was a sealed envelope.
"For you madam, from the desk, someone left it for you" Amy took the envelope, but the boy didn't leave. "I bring message from desk to you, madam."
One of his feet was in the room and the other was outside, which made Amy nervous.
"Do you still have something for me?"
"Someone left it for you!" he said with a wide smile.
"Give him this," said Dan. "Then I can go back to sleep."
When Amy turned, she saw him laying lazily on the carpet and giving her 5 L.E. worth about $1. She gave it to the boy and closed the door. Amy was too curios to sleep now. The envelope was written with an old typewriter and all the letters were capital except the A. Also, there were random underlined letters. The envelope from outside read:
CAIROMODERN TELEGRAM
DaN aND aMY CaHILL
She tore it open and sat on the couch. Saladin(their cat) meowed hungrily as she read the letter.
"Dan, you better come up here."
Dan did not move so she gave out a loud yell.
"Telegram for Dan!" she shouted.
Dan lifted his head as if mustering the energy for a come back but Amy was sure he was still making his way out dreamland. He stood up and sat on the couch. Nellie was still curled up under under the cover with 7 pillows and ipod earbuds in her ears.
"That girl can sleep through demolition derby," said Dan.
"Dan! Listen!" Amy said, she began to read the letter. The letter:

Lazy Dan was exchanged with alarmed Dan now.
"No one knows about this not even Nellie."
"Grace knew," said Amy. "You, me, and Grace. Whoever wrote this must have known Grace well enough to get this out of her."
Dan was still too surprised to answer but Amy knew what he was thinking. Just last year he had brought his prized collection of bottle caps-everything from Dr. Pepper to Coco Cola- to Grace's mansion and all 63 caps in a super-cool old-school cigar box.
