The next soul was a girl. She looked like she was only a few years older than me.

She bowed and lowered her head. She was crying.

"Hello! Please state your name and life story. " I tried to smile reassuringly because I get nervous around crying girls.

Clarise just popped in to call me weak.

You want a battle in the rings or what, War Girl?

Apparently the smiling didn't help because she kept crying.

"My name is Ariadne. I am the daughter of King Minos. I was supposed to be married to Theseus. " More wails.

I'm pretty sure that Hades is setting me up.

This lady's crying is becoming in tolerable. You think that the Furies can shut her up? Doesn't she feel that she's annoying?

"Hey, don't cry. What happened in your life? It's okay, you're dead already. "

I don't know which one is worse.

A crying girl or a whining girl.

"Hey! Are you even a real judge? Where's my dad? I heard he's a judge. I came here to see him! Not some stupid teen kid! Besides. Only one thing I hate more than my life is cocky, arrogant teen boys!"

"Hey! I'm not cocky! Cooperate, will you?"

"NO. "

"Fine, guess I have to read your story. You are the half brother to the Minotaur and you helped Theseus through the maze by giving him a ball of string-"

"Theseus? Where is he!!! I must kill him!!!!"

"Umm, I think Theseus was sent to the Fields of- Hey! You can't just wander off!"

Ariadne was dragged back with another of those old ladies.

"Then Theseus dumped you (literally) and here it's unclear. Mr. D- I am Dionysus married you and Artemis killed you or Dionysus married you and you became a god or you died on that island?"

"Neither! Stupid boy, you see any arrows sticking out of me? You think I'm not dead? Guess what! I died on that island, for my true love who'd stolen my heart!"

"Hey! Don't call me stupid! Also, there is an arrow sticking out of you. "
"No there isn't!"

"Yeah, it's labelled 'Annoying and Whiny'."

"What the Tartarus did you say?"

"Nothing. You are facing charges of associating with the enemy and betraying your father and country. I'm guessing your father doesn't want to see you either. You can either go to Meadows or ask for an appeal from Hades. You would have gone to the Asphodel Fields but for your charges you go to the Meadows. Bye, lady!"

"What? You can't send me to the Meadows! I'm a princess! I'd rather drink from the waters of Lethe!"

"Actually, that sounds like a good idea. You can drink, I get my peace and you won't remember your heartbreak. "
"NO! My love, I will never forget you!!" She began wailing again. Thankfully, those nice old gran- I mean the Furies dragged her away to the Lethe River.

Gods, did all the souls do this?
Hades was definitely setting me up and this was more punishment than reward. I'm quitting.

At least there was only one more person to judge.
