Hearing that distinctive alarm was always the signal of the summer ending and school starting. I slam my hand on my alarm and slowly, but surely got right up and did my school-morning routine. I first do a 15-minute workout consisting of mainly upper-body workouts and jumping jacks to wake me up. After building a sweat, I take a cold shower to really wake me up and proceeded to change after drying up. I'm a routine person, but I don't mind changing or adapting my routine if I wanted to.
I decided to wear a light grey sweater over a burgundy t-shit. I paired it with a black mini skirt and grey leggings with knee-high black boots

Before I can even reach my doorknob, my mom and dad opened it for me.
Mom & Dad: "Morning sweetie!" as they gave me a hug.
Mikasa: "Morning to you two as well," I said whilst trying to breathe.
I'm very fortunate to have them as parents. My dad is a hotshot brain surgeon, meaning I don't get to see him as much as I'd like to, but when he's home, he always makes the most of it by spending every minute with me and mom by taking us to dinner, or the boardwalk, or even just a simple pillow fort in the living room. My mom is a well-known suit tailor for mainly male celebrities, I even got to meet Matt Demon once. When she's not tailoring celebrities, she goes to her tailor shop down in town for the locals. She does every event from weddings to Quincereas to even Oprea attire.
When dad is home, she would tell me all types of stories about both of them before having me, trying to embarrass dad in the process. My favorite was when she made her first-ever suit for my dad for prom, but the minute he started dancing in it, it broke, leaving dad with a sleeveless suit jacket. My mom was so upset about it, but my dad dragged her back onto the dance floor and said, "I don't care if I'm wearing a white tie or a bargain bin suit, you and I are going to dance the entire night." My mom always said, if my future partner wants to wear White-tie at the wedding, then I better say I do.
Mom: "So are you excited for senior year? It's always exciting."
Mikasa: "It's nothing too special besides it being my last year." I was never really excited about senior year. I'm excited to be done with high school and go to college, but the year itself will just be the same as junior, and sophomore, and freshmen year.
Mom: "Oh come on, seriously? Not even for prom?" she said as she pouted
Mikasa: "I mean ya, but besides that, it'll be the same." I chuckled
