Chapter One

The crowd was huge tonight.

Does he tell you he loves when you least expect it? Does he flutter your heart when he kisses your neck? No scientist or biology. It's obvious... When he's holding me it’s only natural, that I'm so affected...

If I took of my ear piece, I’m sure I would be deaf.

Oh, and my heart won't beat again if I can't feel him in my veins. No need to question, I already know.

Flashes from cameras were bursting everywhere, it was almost blinding.

It's in his DNA, D-D-D-DNA. It's in his DNA and he just takes my breath away, b-b-b-breath away. I feel it every day and that's what makes a man. Not hard to understand. Perfect in every way. I see it in his face. Nothing more to say. It's in his D-D-D-D...DNA

I was loving every single second of this. It’s weird how you can dream of something so big, and it actually happens. That’s what happened to me and the rest of the girls. I still remember performing for the first time together on the X-Factor. And now, everything was so different. Soon, the song came to an end and so did the concert. Perrie grabbed me and pulled me into a quick hug, we were the closest out of all the girls even though we were all like sisters.  “Whoo! That was amazing!” I squealed.  “You’re damn right! That was brilliant! ” a familiar voice sang. Zayn. Jesy gave me that ‘Get Some’ look. Jade and Leigh Ann giggled.

“Hey, Kayden. You looked so beautiful up there.” He said, planting a kiss right on my lips and placing his arms around my waist. He’s such a good boyfriend. He flew all the way to New York, on his only week off, to come watch Little Mix perform, to be with me. “Thanks, babe. I love you.” Oh snap! That’s the first time I have ever said that to him. It just slipped out of my mouth! He stared at me with wide eyes., a bit dumbfounded. “Umm, er, I know.” He replied, biting his lip. My heart nearly stopped. I played with the hem of my skirt and traced figure eights on the floor with my sneakers, waiting for the silenced to end. Someone say something, anything.

A few minutes past by and the only sound that was heard was the clean-up crew sweeping up leftover confetti.

“I’m sorry.” I piped up. Zayn rubbed the back of his neck. “Don’t be. I should get going anyways.. I’ll text you.”

I ruined everything. I ruined everything. I ruined everything. I ruined everything.

“Okay.” I leaned in for a goodbye kiss and he…dodged it. Great, just great. Within a blink of an eye, he was gone. I turned around to face the girls. They carried on a casual conversation as if they didn’t see what just happened, but I knew they did.

At The Hotel

It was really nice here, like really nice.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get use to this.” Jade said plopping down next to me on the fluffy bed. Perrie joined us, tying her hair in a ponytail. The three of us always shared rooms since we absolutely were not morning people. I know it sounds cheesy, but we sat there and gazed at the city. “Wow. We finally made it. Together.” I said in pure bliss. Our heart to heart moment was ended when my phone buzzed. I got a text.

Zayn- Hey, girly. Xoxo

I couldn’t help but to smile.

Sup, boo.

Zayn-“Sup, boo?” You usually say a lot more. Lol. Are you okay?

Well…something wasbothering me. I loved that he knew me so well.

No not really…

Zayn-What’s wrong? L

Do you not love me?

I tried to swallow the lump in my throat but it refused to go down. Jade and Perrie looked at me with concerned eyes. The text updated, showing that he read the text. The girls and I waited for thirty minutes until he responded. I was petrified to read what was in that little blue bubble.

Zayn- I’m in love, I know that. It’s just I don’t know if I’m in love with you.
