It's hurts when you realize your arnt as important to someone as you thought you were

I woke up feeling gloomy I would like to say as per usual but when I would go to sleep thinking of clay I would wake up thinking of him and it immediately put me in a good mood.

I went to sleep thinking of techno but I woke up thinking of clay. I thought I meant so much to clay but turns out I'm just a side piece. Techno is a great guy and I really like him but I'm not in love with him I'm in love with clay.

He hurt me so bad and I hate how I still love him. Why wouldn't he tell me. There were so many chances.

When we were in the car both times singing our song together, when we watched our show together. None of it was real. I was in love.

I thought he loved me back.

I guess that's what makes a good player.

I've dated before and thought I was in love but when it ended I knew how fake it truly was. In those situations I loved who I made them up to be not who they were.

But with clay he was perfect he was everything I ever wanted love to be he made me happy and that's saying a lot. You really know you love someone when you don't hate them for breaking your heart.

Was it all fake?

Was I just a piece of meat to him?

Is that all I am?

I was mid thought when there was a knock at my door.

"Come in" i said It was techno
"Morning I made you breakfast" he said with a huge smile on his face
"What you made breakfast?" I ask with a questioning look
"Yep I made bacon eggs and toast" he said with a proud smile I giggled then said
"Okay I'll be out in a sec"

I got up and out of bed grabbed my phone and walked to the kitchen sure enough he had made us both breakfast and set the table.

"Oh my goodness this looks awesome" i said grabbing out my phone and snapping a picture.
He came up behind me "whatcha doooinnnn" "I'm gonna post this on Instagram" I said while doing so

I didn't say who because I thought it would be funny also I wasn't sure if techno wanted people to know he was in Florida he had his chin on my shoulder looking at my phone the whole time when I received a text from clay

Hey can we talk

"Uh do you want to answer that?" Techno asked
"Nah let's eat" I said while putting my phone away and grabbing my fork.
"Mmmm this is delicious" i said with a mouth full of food
"Yeah? Thanks" techno responded

We had a little small talk while we were eating but it was so good we just kinda ate and didn't talk. Once we finished eating he cleaned up the table while I started cleaning the dishes once he finished he came up behind me and grabbed my waist.

"Hey" he spoke
"Hey" I said

He spinner me around so we were now hugging. Both a giggling mess techno spoke "are you ready for our date tonight?" "Yep where are we going by the way?" I asked

"It's a surprise" he responded
"Then how do I know what to wear?"
"Uh dress casual but date attire you know?"
"Yeah I got it" I lied I had no idea what that meant.

I offered techno a shower after his long drive he accepted and went in. I was trying to find something to wear for the date. I kept changing to find something I liked. At this point I only had underwear and a bra on. Then I received a text from clay.

It's not what it looks like y/n I swear

I didn't respond because techno called my name "y/n!" "Yeah what's up" I called back
"Where are the towels" he asked "oh shit sorry let me grab you one" I went and grabbed him a towel and knocked on the bathroom door

"Come in and hand it to me" he said "uh I was kinda changing so don't look okay?" I said "haha okay don't worry y/n I'm naked too" we both stared laughing as I walked in and handed him the towel "here ya go" i said while handing it to him "thank you m'lady" we both started laughing.

After that I walked out and saw clay standing in my living room. I immediately covered myself I was only in underwear and bra after all. "Wow" is all he said before leaving and slamming my front door.

I quickly ran to my room and threw on some sweats and a t-shirt and ran after him. I knocked on his door but to no avail there was no answer.

"Clay please" is all I said. He didn't open the door. His car was still here so he had to be here. I wiggled the door Handle and it was unlocked. So I walked in.

"Clay" I called I heard shuffling coming from his room. I went over and opened his door. He was sitting on his bed facing the wall. "Clay?"

"What are you doing here y/n" he said with no emotion
"Although it's none of your business it's not at all what it looked like" I said slowly walking towards him and sitting down
"Oh yeah then what was it" he said
"I was getting changed techno called me because he needed a towel so I brought him one he was behind the current neither of us saw each other" I explained He put his head in his hands "shit I'm sorry y/n I shouldn't have assumed I just saw you walking out of the bathroom half naked after hearing you two laughing I'm sorry"

"It's okay clay but would it have even mattered if I was having sex with him?" I asked getting defensive
"What" is all clay said
"Well you have a girlfriend so does it really matter who I'm having sex with?" I asked again
"No no no y/n that was just a mis understanding I don't have a girlfriend I swear" "then why did you get flowers from your girlfriend" I said Doing finger quotations
"That's a joke me and my sister do I swear even if I did have a girlfriend why would she sign the thing said 'your girlfriend' and not her actual name"

He made a good point but what If he was just lying to me again?

"Why would your sister just send you flowers from your 'girlfriend' it doesn't make sense" I asked still feeling hurt
"It's an inside joke from when we were younger here let me call her" he said pulling out his phone
"No it's okay don't call" he was already calling he put his phone on speaker

*call convo*

"Hey clay whats up" a girls voice spoke
"Hey drista so you know those flowers you sent me saying they're from my girlfriend" the girl started laughing
"Yeah why"
"Well I love the inside joke but you always make me feel so alone" Clay jokes both clay and his sister were now laughing

I felt bad.

Their conversation went on for a few minutes before clay hung up the second he hit the end call button I hugged him and started apologizing.

"It's okay it's okay y/n I'd be furious if I were in your situation" he reassured me

After apologizing once more I said I had to go and I left. I got back to my apartment techno was still in the bathroom I assumed changing.

Fuck.

I love techno but I think I'm in love with clay
