Everyone has come prepared I see, no no, there's no need to hide!

What's the Masquerade Parade you say?

Well I'm glad you asked! Let me get to explaining right away!

You see, it's quite simple really, Life. Is. Just. Not. Fair.

Each person beside you has a mask in which they hide.

You never really quite know just who they are deep inside.

Sometimes bits of them trickle forward and pour right out.

Or sometimes they'll hide it all, and leave you filled with nothing but doubt.

Does this one cry? Does this one shout? Take your mask off to find out!

"Take my mask off?" You say? "But what about yours?" Oh come now, there's no need to pout!

The name of the game you see is, Life. Is. Just. Not. Fair.

In order to find those you can trust, you're left with absolutely no choice.

You must remove that which makes you feel most safe.

You can't hide, you can't lie, and you must be strong till the end.

But show a little resistance, and refuse to cave, and then poof. Where they ever really a friend?

Because gods forbid, you ask them to bend, even just a little.

Here in the Masquerade Parade, everyone gets to play pretend!

Everyone that is, but you!! Why is this you ask? Well the answer is quite simple.

Life. Is. Just. Not. Fair.

So remember to keep your mask close, and not turn into a puddle!

And keep your back straight! Don't forget to eat! Brush your hair!

Make your bed! Clean your room! Take care of yourself! Be nice to everyone!

Don't forget to smile! And be kind! And be wise! And never take a break for yourself!

Even if it means shutting everyone out!!

And to never, ever, EVER, let your guard down, because gods forbid you ever do that!
