The girl in the pond

Her hair was dampened in the pond water,
Flowers blooming on lily pads floating around her,
Soft petals as they were,
Delicately placed around her,

The sudden brightness of light reflected off the water,
Those eyes closed and vanished for a few seconds,

She lay then next to me covered,
That gorgeous smile made me feel the warmth that I'll never forget,

The petals

The around the pond carry secrets in their roots,
Lost words of your mind and your gift of singing,
That voice flows in the winds
like a silent dragonfly
but the kindest of touch,

But it frightens me that I might not feel this again,

I might lose you in the crowded places of my mind,
Lost within the Isles of poems and stacks of unwanted love letters,
But what if you knew the truth,
My Twisted mind wasn't me,
