Chapter-18 ( The Divorce)

“So...what do you think about...a divorce, Cameron?” I asked.

He stopped what he was eating.

“A divorce?” he was shocked.

“Well...as we don't love each other, it would be better if we divorce, isn't it?” I said.

He looked straight at me.

“No, not happening, Maria. We are not going to divorce.” he said firmly.

“Why?! I don't love you and you don't love me!” I shouted.

“Maria,sometimes, love isn't the reason to get married.” he said as he finished what he was eating.

“And also, you are coming with me.” he grabbed my hand.

“Hey! Let me go!” I shouted.

Then a hand stopped Cameron, pulling me. It was Felix's.

“I will also come along” he told him and smiled.

Cameron was stunned.

“Of course...you can...” Ella interupped.

Then, we all went into Cameron's carriage and went to his family's mansion.

As well arrived, he told one of the servants “Go tell father that we have special guests.” he sighed.

And later, Mr.Leos came out from the mansion and told
“Oh! Nice to meet you, King Felix. Long time no see” he smiled.

I looked at Felix and could see that he was so angry and burning inside. He seemed like he wanted to kill Mr.Leos at once here, for his sister.

But, instead, he tried to hide it and smiled back.

“I have always wanted to see you, Mr.Leos.” he greeted.

“Come inside” Me.Leos welcomed.

We all sat on the couch in the huge living room.

“So, King Felix, its an honor that you come in person here. What lead you here?” Mr.Leos asked and picked up the tea cup.

“Divorce” Felix answered shortly with straight face.

Mr.Leos put down his tea cup.

“A divorce? For who?” he asked.

“Maria Clover and Cameron Leos” he answered.

“Well, I am sorry but I think its none of your business in their marriage.” Mr.Leos told.

“Then, what is your business in there too?” Felix asked and lift his right eyebrow.

Mr.Leos lost his words.

“Umm...for that...I don't involve anything in it. Ask Maria and Cameron yourself. They don't wanna divorce. I don't force them” he answered.

“You are misunderstanding, Mr.Leos. I want a divorce.” I interrupted.

“See? The bride is asking too so, what are you hesitation? Let's go to the court and everything will be settled.” Felix said with a satisfied face.

Mr.Leos smiled and then looked at Cameron.

“Hmm...it seemed like Cameron doesn't want to.” he said.

Cameron looked at me. And then said “Yes...”

But he sounded like he wanted to.

“Look! You can't do that alone, Maria. And also King Felix, I would suggest you to go back and mind your own business.” Mr.Leos said and looked at me.

“You are staying here, Maria he said.

“No! I am not staying! If Felix is going, then I am too!” I shouted.

“Guards! Send Maria into her room back and lock her.” he shouted and the guards grabbed my hands and pulled me.

Felix stood up and about to ran toward me but the guards are also grabbing him.

“Maria!!” he was shouting.

And then, someone said “Stop!”

We looked at. It is Cameron.

He looked straight at my face.

“I will agree for divorce.” he said. He seemed that he made a very big decision.

Mr.Leos reaction was unique! He was angry and feeling like being betrayed.

“Yes! Let go of me now!” I gladly shouted back and the guards let me go.

“Cameron, you!” Mr.Leos shouted.

“I am sorry, dad but YOU HAVE BEEN CONTROLLING ME SINCE I WAS YOUNG! I...also wanna be myself! Decide my own faith!” he shouted back.

This is the first time, seeing him disobey his father's order. I feel proud of him, to be honest.

We went to the court and after the divorce, I thanked to Cameron and Ella.

“Take care, Maria ” Ella said.

“Thanks, you guys too.” I finally said and then went back with Felix.

All are going to be fine. I would also like to stop the war and live in a peaceful life but Felix isn't the person to let off the revenge.

I don't wanna hurt them or anyone anymore.
