CH 6

Hyejin POV

For two days, I stayed overnight at the port, sacrificing my precious sleep, but I was still empty handed.

I had asked the Seung duo, but they hadn't heard anything about ATEEZ in a while either. They said, even none their customers were aware of any outlaws stepping into Reigan any time soon.

It seemed to me as if this was all planned, after the failed attempt to kill the prince, it seems they had all sailed away from Reigan until the heat dies down.

Today after breakfast, I was going through some books I was given to keep myself entertained. A guard comes in and tell me, that the Prince had summoned me, I let out a deep sigh.

What would I tell him, he's such an impatient deer, for real. I wouldn't be shocked if he would order for my execution today.

Getting up, I tell the guard to lead the way, and we walk to his room. With a knock, the guard opens the door and let's me in, closing it afterward.

Sungchan was standing near the window, his back facing towards me, his hands behind his back and his frame making his wide shoulders visible.

"You summoned me?" I ask.

"Tell me, you have found something."

I couldn't tell him what he wanted to hear, so I kept quiet.

He turns around to face me. I maintained a stoic face, to hide my newly found nervousness.

In long strides, he walks up to me and grabs my shoulders, "when Hyejin? When? Do you know how eager my brother is to kill you?" He yells, with a frustrating expression on his face, I still remain emotionless.

"Then let him. Remember I'm just an assassin not a spy. I only kill people not find." I yell back at him.

"Hyejin, what made you like this?" He softly asks, then breathing out.

I push his arms off my shoulders, "I'm just here to find your murderers, I'm nothing more, nothing less. Don't bother prying into my life."

He leans down, and cups my face with his palms, "Hyejin stop being so salty!"

"SALTY! LISTEN HERE. YOU ARE A PRINCE AND I'M A NOBODY! I WOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU! SO DONT THINK YOUR DOING ME A FAVOUR!" I yell at his face, raging with anger.

He just stares shockingly, then points at my face and stammers, "y-your e-ey-es ar-are b-blue."

I stumble and push him aside running to his mirror, he was right, my contacts failed to cover my eyes, I got too angry. I was shivering, I felt suffocated. I turned towards him and saw horror in his face.

Pointing his index finger at me, he advances towards me with bloodshot eyes, and strangled me.

"YOU! IT WAS YOU WHO TRIED TO KILL ME!" He yelled, choking me.

"Stop! Sungchan let me explain."

"No, I'm never going to stop, I will kill you with my bare hands!"

I was running low on oxygen, my head was throbbing, I felt faint and that moment, he lets go of my neck, causing me to fall flat o the ground.

I could barely keep my eyes open, but I could see him panicking at his actions.

He leans down and holds my face, "no no no no no! Don't close your eyes. Look at me." He begs, but I didn't want to listen to him.

I slowly closed my eyes letting death take over me, but I feel air running through my body and my eyes shot open coming face to face with his eyes, which were filled with worry.
