CH 7

Hyejin POV

He brings a glass of water for me to drink and remains standing while I was seated on one side of his bad, my back leaning on the headboard.

"Why... why do your eyes turn blue, their brown now?" He then asks.

"I don't do backstory, I thought I made myself clear."

"Yea ok sure." He let's go of the topic.

"I'll take a traders ship that heads to Ocsen to see if i can find anything of ATEEZ."

"What?!"

"You wanna find them right. Either you let me go to Ocsen or you let me leave the palace."

"You know that isn't gonna be possible, you'll never leave this castle in one piece."

"Well then you should've just killed me!" I hiss.

He walks close and leans down, cupping my chin with his right hand, he kisses my lips, but I don't show any reaction.  He places his left hand behind my neck and pulls my face closer deepening the kiss, I still don't respond.

He then let's go and sits down in front of me.

"You act like you don't feel a thing." He states. "Lets go find ATEEZ." He then says with a sigh.

"Great! But first, you go to my room and bring me my makeup box." I order him.

"Why?" He asks, with an eyebrow raised.

I rolled my eyes at his dense mind, and point at my neck which was filled with red strips so visible against my pale skin,  from his hand.

"Right." He mutters under his breath, and leaves to my room.

In about two minutes, he was back.
"Here." He passes the box over to me.

I walk up to his mirror and open my box, taking out the concealer, I put on a lot trying to cover up the bruise, but It was definitely not enough.

I curse under my breath and turn to Sungchan folding my arms over my chest.

"Look at what you've done."

"Wouldn't you have done the same." He retorts.

"Yes but only if we're gonna finish it." I leave his room and walk back to mine to put on a turtle neck sweater.

After putting it on, I follow him to the throne room, where the king was.

Upon entering, I bow at him.

"What is it?" He grimly asks.

"I plan to leave Reigan with the prince to find the intruders."

"And what makes you think I'll let my brother go?"

"Well I know you won't, but this isn't my choice, he was the one who wanted to tag along." I shrug my shoulders.

"Brother, I think it's only right that I go, I was the one who asked her help to find the intruders." Sungchan explains.

"I can't risk anything." The king disagrees.

"I promise, he'll be back just as he left, I promise I won't let anything happen to him."

"Your nothing but an outlaw, what makes you think I'll believe you." The king spits.

"Brother, trust me. I'll make sure she fulfils her duty to us." Sungchan joins in.

After many moments, the king finally agrees.
