2021, GOODE HIGH SCHOOL
"Welcome to the Goode High School News station. Where we spread the Goode news. On today's broadcast, we have some interesting news. There are two new students in class, Percy Jackson, and Luna Olympia. We will update you, when we know more."
Kyle sighed. 2 more kids that would join this hormone-infested, nightmare-fueled, failure of an operation. Also known as High School. He almost felt bad for them. But hey, if he had to do it, so did everyone.
Kyle was part of what was called the popular group. He wasn't the typical douche though, but his friends were. He was hoping to induct these 2 kids and have them be nicer with him, but as the whole school soon learned, the duo had a "We do not give a single shit about your rules, thoughts, or even punishments" kind of way of life.
First off, they were very clearly dating. They never said it, but they DEFINITELY showed it. Something about the making out, the fact that Luna almost never left Percy's lap, or the fact that a teacher caught them fucking in the bathroom on the 2nd floor, was more than enough proof.
Secondly, they barely talked to anyone but each other, and it was always in another language. People thought it was Ancient Greek, but they were never sure. They were the king and queen of being anti-social.
Lastly, anytime they got in trouble, (case in point, the bathroom incident), they didn't care about the consequences. They went to detention without a care, any threats to call home was met with laughter, they couldn't even get expelled.
They quickly became the power couple, but they never acknowledged it.
2nd SEMESTER OF THE YEAR
"And that is why it is called an exponential function. Any questions?"
Percy continued to ignore the teacher, zoning back in randomly, a lot of the time because Artemis, or Luna, as she was known to the school, would squeeze his hand. They didn't need to pay attention, they were there when this stuff was invented/discovered.
It was about halfway through their Algebra ii class when a bright light began to shine through the floor. The desks were arranged in a circle for some stupid reason, so the desks surrounded the light.
The light grew brighter until the floor exploded. When the smoke cleared, there was a giant hole in the middle, just barely smaller than the ring of desks. Floating above the hole was a shirtless man with pure white wings.
Percy sighed and discreetly snapped his fingers. The hole disappeared and the floor was instantly covered with the boring tile that was there before. As soon as it was finished being fixed, the mystery man opened his eyes and retracted his wings while stepping onto the ground.
Percy got out of his seat and jumped over the desk. "Been a while Luci, you missed my wedding."
Luci spread his wings, and Percy responded by spreading his. They then both retracted them. This was a standard greeting to Angels. Like how we can wave our hands, they spread their wings.
"Yes it has, Perseus. What do you mean I missed your wedding?"
"I mean, I get that you were in a time-out, but you had a free pass to come to my wedding. Dad would've allowed it. Azrael was looking forward to seeing you." Percy responded.
"Wait, you married Azrael, like.. Our sister Azrael?" Luci asked disgustedly.
"What? NO! No, I didn't, I married Artemis." Percy said.
"Who is that?" Luci asked.
"What do you mean? Oh, right, Dad banished you to Hell before he created the Greek pantheon. Well, Lucifer, I married a Greek goddess named Artemis, and she's the best. In fact we are celebrating our 3,000 year anniversary. Why we chose to spend it at this place, we have no idea." Percy said, more mumbling the last sentence to himself than his brother.
Percy then decided he had enough of pretending to be 15 and grew to his 21 year old self. He also changed his clothing to a 3 piece suit, all black.
Lucifer changed his clothing to a suit, but only the jacket over a red button up with a red pocket square. Artemis decided to join the party and jumped over her desk, also becoming 21 years old. She wore a white shirt with a silver jacket and black hunting pants. Percy and Artemis both had a half silver and half galaxy wedding ring on their ring finger.
The students of the 5th period Algebra ii class were shocked. The 2 'new' kids were an Angel and Goddess. And married at that. Suddenly, the bathroom incident made a lot more sense.
Percy waved his hand and a wall of alcoholic drinks appeared in place of the SMART board. He walked over, grabbed a glass and filled it with gin. He walked over to Lucifer and handed him the gin. He walked back over to the 'bar'. He opened the fridge and pulled out a Root Beer and Coke. He grabbed 2 more glasses and filled the glasses with each drink.
He handed the Coke to Artemis. He brought his cup up and made a toast. "To Lucifer serving his 3-million year time-out." He said. They clicked cups and then drank. "Speaking of, I think I remember saying that when you get out, we are having family dinner." Percy said with a smirk on his face.
Lucifer groaned. "You are really going to do that to me?" He asked. But it was too late. Percy had disappeared, presumably to go tell their Father about this new development. Any hope of avoiding it was gone. It didn't help that Perseus was their Father's favorite.
The sound of fluttering wings was heard and Perseus reappeared. He clapped his hands and the wall of liquids disappeared. In the middle of the circle of desks, a long table appeared. Percy sat right next to the head of the table with his wife on the other side of him.
Slowly the table filled up. The fluttering wings were growing louder as more Angels appeared. Azrael, Amenadiel, Castiel, Gabriel, you name it, they were there. The last one to show up was God himself.
Most of the students in the classroom had fainted at the sight of the Angels. The teacher was awake long enough to see God. An African American man wearing a beige sweater and grey shirt.
The family dinner had a little tension at the beginning, but soon the dinner was going happily. And as Perseus looked around, he smiled. He had a family, an actual family. And with his wife by his side, he was excited to see what was going to happen next.
