Chapter one: The Plan

*3rd person pov* 

"come one Moony! Please!" Sirius begged. Sirius and James wanted to go to a muggle city but they couldn't apparat yet. Remus was the only one of the 4 marauders that could.  

" Just one trip Moony! That's it! You can choose where we go!" James was following Remus around the common room. 

" No Prongs! It could be dangerous. What do we do if one of you gets hurt. We don't have muggle currency for a medical kit. I mean I spent the last of my muggle money on chocolate!" James tried to convince their friend but it was no use. That is until he remembered something. He shot Peter a look to tell him that to do it now. He understood, and quietly snuck to the dorms.

" Moony. Dear sweet moony. I have one offer for you." Peter was now coming down with something in his hand. " if you don't take us to a muggle city, we'll burn your chocolate. Choose. Now." 

Remus dramatically put a hand to his chest with a shocked face. " you wouldn't dare!"

" oh. yes. I. would. " James and remus were having a stare down at this point. trying to break remus, James nodded at Peter.  The boy started dangling the chocolate ,which he had in his hand, over the fire. 

* dramatic gasp* " My chocolate! No! " After short pause of shock Remus comes to his senses. "Alright! Alright! I'll take you! But we're going to Manhattan. And if you so much as brush your finger against my chocolate again, you will pay!" Remus said half joking.

"Boys! get packed! We're going to Manhattan! " Announced Sirius before sprinting up the stairs to the marauders dorm. The rest of them followed. Remus tried to stay upset but he struggled to not smile as he saw his friends so excited. 

"all ready?" they all nodded. " good. James you have your wand? Sirius? Peter? good. All good. Okay. I know you will regret this later so James, have you said good bye to your 'Lily Flower' yet?" James seemed to realize he hadn't. 

"no I haven't! OH how could I forget! Do any of you know where she is?"

" she's in the library James. But be careful. She seems extra moody today." Sirius replied before remus could even open his mouth. 

" thanks pads!" and James took off towards the library. 

" how do you know where she is? It's not like you have been spying on her, have you?" Remus laughed until he saw Sirius' face. "omg you have been spying on her. "

" James asked me to keep an eye out and to report back to him if I saw her. But because of this whole trip, I haven't been able to tell him. " replied Sirius

" you know what? I'm not even shocked at this point. " remus chuckled.
