I. FRIENDS - EDITED
The bakery was busy today, lot's of animals came around for a slice of 'Mama's cherry pie', which isn't really made by your mum, it's just named that for aesthetics. "Y/n, your pastries taste so good, I could never have enough of them!" Mr Trunk said taking a bite of a tart, "Well thank you, sir!" you replied swiftly moving around to serve other customers.
The streets were busy, as always—It's nothing new to Zootopia—when a certain bunny decided to check out the commotion in the bakery herself.
Entering the bakery she was faced with different kinds of animals big and small. The bakery was filled with overwhelming scents of Lemons, cherries, strawberries, and all kinds of fruits. While Judy was looking around the bakery, you quickly spot her and rush to greet her; "Well hello there, never seen you around? are you new here?" You asked, a welcoming smile on your lips.
"Yes, hi! I'm officer Hopps, Judy" Judy said taking her badge out, "Nice to meet you, Judy. The name's y/n," you say taking your paw out for her to shake.
The two of you chatted for a while and soon decided to exchange numbers, "Well, thank you for this lovely chat but I'm sure you have to go, being a cop and saving lives you know" You said whilst taking Judy's plate, "Haha yeah, saving lives... " She says, her voice laced in sadness, or maybe disappointment? Judy then continues, "By the way, thanks for the free food"
"Not a problem at all Judy, I like you so you can come back any time you like and get free food, of course," You smile at her, "I'll keep that in mind and I am very flattered" She replies, reciprocating the smile whilst heading out.
As Judy leaves the Bakery, you can already feel the loneliness enveloping you... then your phone vibrates, 'Y/n come home ASAP! Mum's mad" was the text you received from your cousin, Ezme. You didn't even bother to reply and just shut your phone off, not that you didn't care but you were just tired, tired from work and from your aunt who just kept on coming for your ass.
You washed the plates and prioritized cleaning the bakery before you left, your aunt can wait. After a while, you finally finished and you headed your way out. You open the door to the house tiredly only to see your angered aunt sitting on the living room couch, "What is it this time?" "Somebody told me that you're friends with a cop," Your Aunt Madeline said, "I don't see the problem?" You replied confused—"Wait... how did you even find out about that- have you been stalking me?!"
"That's not the point. You don't see the problem? Don't you know our family's business? Becoming friends with a cop could easily expose us. Family over friends Y/n"
"What... I don't even have anything to do with your shady business and I had no plans of introducing Judy to you anyways. I knew you'd complain like this, I own a bakery to get out of your- whatever the hell you're doing! I never get to socialize properly because of you, I'm tired of it. I'm not following you anymore, I'm an adult, not some kid you think you can control!" You argued
Madeline sighed, "You know we love you, we're doing what's best for you." She grabbed your shoulders, comfortingly, "You own a bakery! we admire that you choose the thing you love over some moneymaker job". You scoffed "then why don't you quit" she stayed quiet, "That's what I thought."
You went upstairs contemplating your life decisions, you then decide to message Judy.
you: Heya!
Judy: Hey! Y/n?
you: yep, got into a fight with my aunt and I'm kind of deciding on moving out tomorrow.
Judy: Sorry about that, wish you could stay with me but I live in a small apartment
you: It's completely okay, I can find an apartment don't worry! :)
Judy: I'm gonna head to bed, I still have 'to save the world'
you: right, good night!
SEEN.
Smiling at the messages you slowly start to drift off to slumber, 'Tomorrow is another day, hopefully, a good one this time.'
