it was christmas time and we were headed back for the burrow.
we got on the train and i sat in a compartment with cosette, harry, jo and emma. as everyone was finally getting settled in, we heard the compartment door slide open.
"oh hey guys, i'm doing prefect duties so just making sure you all are okay" cedric says. a bunch of 'okays' came from the compartment
"oh and weasleys, and potters, my parents wanted to let you know that we're having christmas with each other, so i'll see you guys later." he said.
we all nodded but my heart started racing. he's gonna be staying at my house? with my siblings knowing that i like him.
we finally got to the train station and saw mum and dad. i gave dad a hug then mum and we started heading towards the car the ministry had for us.
we got home and saw the diggorys pull up in their own car.
"weasleys! thank you for having us for christmas!" amos said
"our pleasure, come anytime!" mum and dad said. i saw cedric get out of the car and cosette nudged my arm a bit.
"if you do that again i will snap your head into two" i whispered. she then backed off and i have to admit, i'm pretty scary sometimes.
we were getting our luggage from the car and the diggorys were helping us. i was getting my bag but it was almost impossible to lift because it was so heavy.
"here let me help you" cedric says and lifts my bag for me "godric your bag is heavy, what do you have in here?"
"wouldn't you like to know weather boy" i said walking inside. i had got cedric a present because he was such a good friend to me this year but i didn't think it would be that heavy. i heard cosette and harry laugh from behind us.
"what do you mean?" he asked
"oh yea, sorry it's a muggle thing harry and cos showed me" i said and we both laughed. his laugh was so cute.
"i can take my bag from here" i said as we headed up towards the stairs to my room
"no no no, you can't. i'm taking it for you" he said
"ced its fine i can take it" i said
"nope i'm taking it for you, and there's nothing you're going to do about it. now, show me where your room is" he said.
we walked up to my room and i saw fred and george in their rooms until they saw us.
"HEY RENEE! no bringing boys into your room" george said
"merlin SHUT UP, he's my friend i've known him since i was THREE" i said and they backed off.
"wow you're scary sometimes. now i'm starting to think you were supposed to be in slytherin" cedric says as we keep walking.
"honestly i don't know why i'm in gryffindor" i say as we make it to my room.
"great we're here. thank you cedric" i said and he pulled me into a hug
"of course" he said. i felt so comforted in this hug i could just stay here for days.
"eh ehm" i hear someone cough so i pull out of his arms "if you two lovebirds don't mind it getting myself situated in renee's room." cosette says
"as if!" cedric and i say and we both started laughing
"yep cause i totally believe you" she says and i just rolled my eyes as she shut the door
"cos why did you say that?!" i say to now her in the room
"because he obviously likes you and you like him" she says
"no he does not!" i say
"he just hugged you where everyone can see! i think someone, who isn't a best friend or family, would only hug you like that if he liked you!" she said. i thought this over for the rest of the night.
