Their hairs were still brown with crisp Autumn leafs scattering the ground.
"Oi, 'Tsumu," Osamu looks over at his brother, his hands deep in his pockets to hide from the chilly wind.
"What?" his feet stopped kicking at the pile of leaves, his gaze still trapped by the beautiful colours around him.
"Are we going to that halloween party?"
All Atsumu can think is, 'what halloween party?' He hadn't heard, nonetheless been invited to one. As the breeze blew past him, he knew he had to lie.
"Why would I ever go to a stupid thing like that?"
Osamu looks at the ground before he looks into the sky, "thought so."
Finally, their front door step meets their feet. Home sweet home.
...........
No one was too focused on holidays or halloween where the twins had grown up. Kids found out about all these Westren holidays and tried to copy them, probably failing at the mistranslations, but in the end it was about one thing. Excuses to party.
As the day turned from day to night, everyone in the house grew from calm to fight.
"Atsumu give it back! You know it's my only one!" Osamu tempts to swing at Atsumu to grab his originally owned chocolate out of his dumb twins hand.
Atsumu shoves the sweet, tasty treat inside of his mouth and swallows it hole. "YOU ASSHOLE!"
Before anyone could try to stop them, Osamu was throwing fists and Atsumu was deflecting all the attacks. It was about to stop, they were both getting tired and out of breath. That was until Atsumu stuck his light brown stained tongue, right in front of Osamus face.
"That's it! I'm leaving." he grabs his hoodie and throws it on, stomping to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"To the stupid party!" the door slammed behind the third-year middle school boy. Atsumu huffed with his arms crossed and waited.
He waited for Osamu to turn around and decide to not go, seeing how it was already late.
5 minutes...
10 minutes...
25...
30...Atsumu looks at the clock. Osamu wasn't coming back. He debates to go chase after wherever the other went, but it was night with dark lit streets and no directions to follow.
The window is the only thing giving him comfort. He rests his head on the windowsill as he watches a car go by every now and again. Each time hoping it was Osamu.
1 hour.
It was sure getting quiet without his twin around. The house seemed bigger and emptier. It didn't feel like home.
"How am I the dumbass if 'Samu gets to act like this!" the jacket goes tight over Atsumus arms as he leaves the house.
He walks and walks, and walks. The breeze had only gotten worse against his skin. Daggers shot into him as he kept following in the direction his instincts told him to go.
Suddenly, loud sirens echo down the street beside him. "Osamu!" Atsumu thinks before running, his heart pounding.
He didn't breathe while he ran, he just kept letting his feet whisk across the cold pavement as he neared the blue and red lights.
An ambulance.
A crowd blocks the way of sight, but Atsumu can see one thing. Someone on a stretcher.
He throws everyone off that gets in his way, a crowd of frightened faces marking his doom.
A black blanket draped over the small boys chest and his lower body, his face purple with foam leaking from his mouth.
Almost unrecognizable.
"OSAMU!"
the black veil covers his face.
