Xian knew if anything happened to Ekio because of him, he would tear the sky open for her and let rain the blood of those who have ever wronged him.

He rushes out of his house, not even caring to take a mask to hide his face. The fear burning inside him. He couldn't see past the blinding lights of the street; his heart pounding inside his ears as he shoved past the people on the streets.

He had the way to Ekio"s memorised. He didn't even know he did.

"Open the door!" His hand hurting from how hard he was pounding the door.

The hard surface gave out from underneath him, a hand grabs him by the collar and drags him inside.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Ekio hisses.

His sister in front of him, unharmed, safe.

"Oh god you're alive, thank god–" He reaches in for a hug, but she slaps down his hands.

"What the fuck did you do now?" Her face was harsh, but her voice was harsher.

Xian has no clue how to express the millions of thoughts racing through him.

"I didn't do anything." Xian breathes out.

"Then why the fu-"

"I didn't do anything, dad did." His steel glare digs at Ekio, her eyes narrowing out of doubt for a second, but her mouth stays shut. "You know how he said he got all his loose ends, yeah well he lied."

Ekio doesn't, won't, let him get to her, she may be younger and may have experienced less of the world but she has experienced enough of her brothers fuckery to understand that she can rarely trust anything that comes out of his mouth.

"Oh of course you would, blame it all on him because–"

"You're not listening to me Ekio. I ran into dad's sidekick–ex-best friend, and let me tell you," Xian scoffs, "it was less than pretty."

Ekio rolls her eyes, the gravity of the situation barely even touching her. She can't believe the audacity of him coming for her again. Of course, she knows that he is in front of her, actually standing in her apartment and talking to her as if they had never been apart from each other, but she has no desire to act the same way, nothing changes just because she may be in a little bit of danger.

Danger she hasn't heard from, seen or even experienced. She isn't going to react to it in any way, shape or form unless she can grasp the gravity of the situation.

Which she won't.

"And now his sister, a very powerful woman, well–she's finishing what he started. He was willing to do anything to get back at dad, her too." Ekio's lax expression settles in on Xian, her cynical expression instead twisting.

Ekio's deadpan starts to irritate Xian a little. After he had come all this way, worried about her for so long and is expressing his care for her, she is acting like this.

'Can't she just fucking understand for once?' He wants to groan and smack some sense into her.

"She threatened you Ekio. She wanted to expose you to the whole world. She wanted to kidnap me and torture me so that I would be the one to tell the world, and she isn't alone. She has a whole gang out there."

Xian picks up her limp hand and cradles it between his own, her whole body frozen in place.

'Ten seconds, this man has ten seconds to let go of my hand before I make his wrist detach and let go itself.'
