Ch - 2

Aayush Pov:-

"Did you get everything" Dhriti walking around stuffing everything she found in her bag and didn't even stop for anything in her way, you can feel her nervousness at the door of the shelter?

            "Yes, now can you calm down, we will be going away the next sunrise appears on here." She just nods nervously and calming herself at Falguni's word. We all getting nervous since it happens two days ago.

Flashback:-

          After my injuries heel and started to going back to work again, it's every night thing that one of us goes out and gets some food, this time is Falguni's turn to get the food.

          I want to go out and take a smoke to get myself calm, this bad habit starts within the first week of work, I was scared shitless from all the horrifying scenes I seen in the village, and the workload will never be less, I need to calm down and with other workers, I started doing weeds to take the tension of my shoulder. Doing once a day, it's good for me.

            Smoking in the dark, I heard some rustles beside the shelter the ally we have there, I can guess what is happening there, do not need to go there to know more. People wanted privacy and shelter is not privacy.

             Getting the last smoke of his weed he turns around to go back a shrill comes to his ear. "Ahhhhhhh-" his heart started to hammer so heard, the debating in his mind and heart is not stopping, there two girls are his responsibility and another side someone innocent going to get hurt, without his permission his footsteps start to go to the allies direction, without stopping he look in the little moonlight that stops in the man huge frame whos hand clamping around someone's mouth that he cannot look in the dark, he was going to turn around but stop after listening to the muffled sound of the voice.

           "Please let me go, I'll not tell anybody about this, you want the food right, take this....please" falguni was begging in a little voice that was mixed with hoarse and kivering.

         I walk toward their side and push the man aside, he stumbles on the road to the sidewall and gets hit. Without wasting their time I grab her hand at starting running outside of the ally, I didn't stop running till we are in the shelter.

           Dhriti is standing in our place looking mad, do not go to say anything it's our fault to leave her alone, she opened her mouth but stop after looking at Falguni's face. "What happened?" The question is not for falguni but me, I want to lie but after looking at the bruises, marks, and handprints on her face, make and hand I cannot lie, she already knows, but hearing from my mouth it'll be certified. Before I could say anything.

         "We are leaving from here before that get our salaries from workplaces, it's time," Dhriti said and get water and cloth from her bag and start to clean Falguni's skin after that get cream and apply it on the bruises.

          I'm just looking at everything without anything to say nor Falguni's voice come out of her mouth.

           For the last two days, we are getting our salary from employers, my side has no problem because it's daily paid but from the falguni side it's going to be difficult for her but looking at her I know she managed it.

          The water is resurfaced now and the drought is long gone but the after-effects of it's not disappeared. The government is helping people, who are name is still on the registered form and I can guess our name is already used by the villagers.

            At beginning of the sunrise, we make out of the shelter, looking around the shelter, it's not going to feel sad or feel missing anything like our home back in the village we feel. Some people are sleeping, some are going to work, we were in this people before. Now we have no work, no destination, just going to find a new place to call home.

            Coming outside of the area we live in before we stop at a side small hut where little smoke coming outside one of the windows, there was a board outside, "let's stay here first for two days and see how the situation outside so we would decide our destination. The board said 'welcome to small, you will enjoy your stay here
                                  Thank you.'
That's it nothing else. So I guess I have to go in and find how are the facility and budget here.

        " Hello," I said looking at the middle age lady at the receptionist counter.

        "Oh, how may I help you, sir" she is professional I can tell that.

         "I am looking for a room," I said looking around to see if it's safe here or not.

         "For how many people," she said typing in her computer. I tell her three people and she asks about the relationship with each other, it is needed? I don't know before I can tell her about the relationship, a voice interrupted from behind me.

        "One is the sister and I'm his girlfriend, is that enough," falguni said behind me, and my jaw was hanging low after hearing her call herself my girlfriend, is this girl ok, today or something happened to her head. It's my fault isn't it, I should have got her to the hospital for a checkup to know where was she got hurt, after settling here, the first thing I would find the hospital, to get her check-up.

           "Let's go, brother, are you getting deaf or what" dhriti's voice come clashing at my ear who raised her eyebrows at me, like what am I doing there. I look around to see I'm still standing at my place and the receptionist is doing her work ignoring my presence who is already lost in his world.

       Clearing my throat I started walking with my sister to the room we book, "why do you say that" I ask straight as soon as close the door. Falguni just raises her left eyebrow at me and dhriti answers me in a small tone, "don't forget she is a friend and they will make her get a different room" I just facepalm myself mentally for thinking too much and nod at them.

         "Now that we done here we need a phone so we can see where we want to go or different things" we want to get mobile before but we financially screwed to get more than food and clothes.

        I nod at her, being with girls is hard, I need to smoke.
