FROSTBURN || Min Yoongi

Chapter 22

Narrator POV

"Guys wake up! We have to leave. Aera, Yoongi, get up!"

Aera shot up from the bed as soon as she heard Namjoon's yelling. She looked beside her to find Yoongi with the same alarmed expression on his face.

"What is it, what's going on?" Yoongi was quick to ask as he pulled the blanket over Aera to cover her naked body while Namjoon paid no attention to it and continued talking.

"They know. They fucking know everything!"
Namjoon said running his hands through his hair. His frustration was clearly showing on his face.

The door suddenly opened making us immediately turn towards that direction.

"The guards are on their way. They're coming..." Jimin said from the doorway.

"They know we were going to escape.. but how..." Aera said quietly as they exchanged looks with Yoongi.

"Hurry put on some clothes. We have to leave. NOW."

Namjoon left the room after his final words as Aera and Yoongi rushed out of the bed to quickly wear some clothes.

They got out the room to meet the others at the hall. They all had worried expressions on their faces as they thought about what to do next?

"What are we supposed to do now? The "goods" would've been here by next week and everything could've been much easier with the guards being distracted. We're so fucked..." Taehyung whined.

"No. No one is fucked. We just need to get the others and reach the main lab. If we can access the system that shuts down the effect these pills have on our powers, then everything will be easier."

Namjoon said opening the map in front of them and showing others the place where it was marked as the main lab.

Suddenly footsteps were heard warning them that the guards were coming closer.

"Aera, Yoongi, I need you both to split up. Since you two are the strongest, we can't have you in a team. Aera you come with me to the main lab and Yoongi you have to hold the guards with Hoseok while Jimin and Taehyung, go warn Jungkook and Yuri. Oh and Jin. Understood?"
Namjoon said, his voice filled with dominance.

It was no lie that he had the brains in the group and that he was born with an ability to lead naturally.

They all nodded their heads in agreement.

"Wait, why is Jungkook and Yuri in the same room?" Taehyung asked.

Yoongi's face immediately turned into a deadpan one as he had just realized that.

"Not the point Tae." Aera said, rolling her eyes.

"Come on the guards are coming closer, we have to!"

Aera turned to Yoongi and he was quick to pull her in for a kiss making the other guys around give them sad smiles.

"Be safe." He whispered.

"You too." She whispered back.

"Hey! Stop right there!"

They all turned back to see bunch of guards spotting them. They started to run towards their direction causing Yoongi and Hoseok to jump in front of the group.

"We got this, go!"
Hoseok said, waiting for the guards to approach.

Aera and the others hesitated on leaving them behind but they knew they had no other choice.

"GO!"

This time it was Yoongi telling them to go.

They all started rushing towards the other direction while Aera took one more look at Yoongi's back. She saw the fist punch he landed on the guards face as more kept coming at him.

It was like all of this was happening in slow motion.

They soon got separated with Jimin and Taehyung as they headed for the other end of the dorm area to warn the other three.

"This way!"
Namjoon said turning a sharp corner.

Aera felt her steps get heavier as is got harder for her to breath. Running wasn't her strongest point.

They finally reached their destination as they saw the big doors right in front of them.

"Tell me you know the passcode Joon." Aera said trying to catch her breath.

Namjoon smirked at her as he walked up to the door, typing in the numbers.

"Way ahead of ya."
He winked at her after the doors opened with a loud click.

She chuckled at his statement and didn't even bother asking how he got the passcode.

"Now all it's left is deactivating these pills..."

"WE'VE COME TO SAVE-"

Jimin and Taehyung rushed inside Yuri's room to find there guards on the floor, unconscious, while there stood a very conscious Jungkook with his fists up, standing in front of a very scared looking Yuri.

"You..." Jimin continued his sentence which had cut off himself.

"Since you guys are already up, let's go! Yoongi and Hoseok needs us." Taehyung said, leading the others behind him as they rushed towards to help their hyungs.

Jungkook held Yuri's hand making sure she was close by as they kept running.

Arriving the main hall, they saw Yoongi putting up with five guards while Hoseok had a few as well. They looked worn out and tired and had few bruises on their faces.

The younger ones immediately jumped into action as they saw their hyungs in need.

Jungkook made sure to keep Yuri behind him as more guards came at him while Taehyung helped Hoseok take on the ones he was dealing with.

They were doing fine until more backup started coming down the hall and they froze in place.

They were surrounded by guards and all of them carried guns in their hands.

They knew it was over. Even if they continued to fight, not all would make it out alive...

"It's over now! Give it up! You can't escape this place!" One of the guards yelled.

They got closer to each other and exchanged looks. They didn't know what to or how to get out of this.

Yuri squeezed Jungkook's hand and she felt him squeeze her hand back. She looked up at him to find him staring back at her with a sad smile.

This can't be how things end, it just can't, they all though.

Then they felt it.

Aera and Namjoon must've been successful because they felt their power return to their body,immediately recharging their energy. Suddenly, a smirk appeared on their faces making them have another eye contact with each other.

"Oh you guys are so fucked..."
