I haven't slept in around a week...
It's not THAT bad
I've went a year or two before...not fun to be honest
Normal people would think it'd be awesome and fun to stay up that late and that often, I mean sure it is but...

not when your parents are having an abusive argument..
I mean yeah it was really fun to stay up and watch the soft peaceful night go by
...
besides the yelling and the things that would break against the walls and door..
...I remember...
I would normally sneak into to Attic and turn the blacklight on to watch the painted walls, floor and ceiling come to life with the glowing flowers, planets and stars. I'd open the windows but keep the black silk blinds shut so they'd flow lightly with the warm summer winds. turning on the radio (at a low volume) to the midnight sleep station, that'd play slow song you'd hear in a movie about royalty, and just sitting at the window seat to listen to the nights soft sounds mixed with the anger filled yelling from my father and the pain filled screaming from my momma downstairs that were like a lullaby of sadness, pain and despair...
