When You Wish Upon a Star

I was so shocked I couldn't even think. Jared was looking me right in the eyes and I replied

"Yes."
He smiled at me as the movie started and held my hand through out the whole movie. The movie ended and we walked out of the theater. I looked up at Jared and said

"Why would you want to date me? I'm a nerd."

"I don't think you're a nerd. You're sweet, funny, pretty, smart and you're unpredictable ."
I looked at him and tilted my head to the side. Seeing this he explain.
"You're unpredictable because one minute you can be nice but then the next you can be ready to kill someone."
I laughed and replied
"But what about Heather?"

"What about her?"
I laughed as we walked out into the parking lot. 'So does that mean he doesn't care bout her anymore?' I snapped back into reality as we came up to his car.
We got into his car and he took me home. We pulled into my driveway and he put the car in park. He walked me up to my front porch and gave me a hug. I hugged him back as we pulled back he said,

"Bye. I'll call you tomorrow."

"Okay bye."
I couldn't believe, I was Jared's girlfriend and he was going to call me tomorrow. I walked in to see Maddy and Kate run up to me and ask how it was.

So how did my baby sis do on her first date?"

"It wasn't a date you guys, we were just hanging out."

"Okay if you guys were just "hanging out." What did you guys do?" Maddy said using quotation marks.

"Okay we went to go see a movie and ummm.... well he asked me to be his girlfriend."

"What!! Omg he asked you to be his girlfriend."

"Yeah that's what I just said Kate."

"Yay!! Now we can double date."

"Woah wait I haven't even told you what I said to him."
Maddy ran up to me and took me by the shoulders and shook me.

"What did you say!!"

" I said yes."
I laughed as Maddy and Kate wrapped me in a big group hug. I laughed as they pulled away and I went and sat on the couch. Maddy and Kate came and joined me.

We continued talking about Jared until Maddy had to go home at 10. I decided to got to bed. I walked to my room and I got in my pajamas and got into bed. I still couldn't believe he actually asked me to be his girlfriend. I fell asleep as happy as ever.

The next morning I got out of bed to bacon sizzling and the smell of pancakes. I went into the kitchen and my mom was in there.

"Hi honey."

"Hi. Mom can I tell you something?"

"Yeah sure."
My mom turned to face me and suddenly I couldn't look her in the eye, I just stared at the countertop.

"Well when I hung out with Jared it was really fun and before the movie started he um.. asked me to be his girlfriend. And I said yes."

I finally got the courage to look at my mom. She looked so mad.

"You can not date Jared."

"What!! Why?"

"Because I think you are way to young to be dating."

"Mom I'm 15, I'm not a baby anymore. Why does everyone keep treating me like one."

"I don't care if you are 15 you are not dating Jared."

I ran up to my room and slammed the door and locked it.
I laid on my bed and cried. I know it seems stupid and I'm a cry baby about it but I really wanted to date Jared. And it wasn't fair that my mom said I couldn't because I was too young. It was 8:45am and I didn't want to go back downstairs so I just fell back asleep. Two hours later my phone rang and I turned over to my nightstand and picked up my phone.
