Dream is Destiny (Chapter 5)

Alphonse and Kat take the train all the way to central where Edward and Lust are. When they got there, there was a huge commotion. All of the sudden a huge explosion went off. Alphonse gasped "That's Ed's alchemy! He must be fighting Lust as of this moment!" I looked from the explosion to Alphonse "We have to go help him." Kat and Alphonse ran towards the sound of exploding alchemy. Kat was the first to get there. Edward had a few scratches here and there, but Lust hadn't been touched. Alphonse caught up with Kat as soon as she ran straight into the battle. Edward heard the screams of his brother and Kat so he turned around, wide eyed. "Al!? Kat!? What are you doing here? Your supposed to be at the house!" Alphonse laughed "We couldn't just sit around doing nothing!" Edward then smiled "Well while your here you may as well help me deal with this piece of trash!" He clapped his hands together and pushed them to the floor, creating concrete spikes to shoot up from the ground. "Brother!" Alphonse yelled just in time for Edward to doge one of Lust's counterattacks. Edward ran up to me while Alphonse distracted Lust. "Okay Kat here's the plan. Me and Al will distract Lust while you," He gives me a long metal pole, "shove this thing straight through her heart. Also her heart is a Philosopher's stone so you have the make sure you destroy  it completely." Ed ran off to follow the plan he just explained to me. I have to destroy Lust. To save Edward, to save this world. While Ed and Al distracted Lust, Kat walked around the back. She got a great view of her target and her aim. When she was sure that is was spot on she ran. Lust made an ear splitting scream. Kat shoved the pole straight through Lust. I did it! I killed Lust! "You little brat! If I go down your coming down with me!" The dying Lust shoved one of her claws into my heart and fell. I coughed up blood and tried to stop the flow coming from my stomach. "Kat!" Edward and Alphonse ran to my side. Edward held me while Alphonse tried to stop the bleeding. I put my hand on Al's shoulder. "Don't. You'll waste your strength on me." Edward looked me in the eyes "What are you saying?! If we don't stop the blood, you'll die!" I smiled "Don't worry. My time is up. I finally know why I was sent here. I had to change the fate of this world. You see, there are two world lines: one that you and Alphonse get killed by Lust and she destroys that world or the other one that only you get killed. I was sent to a third one to stop that from happening. And even if I die in the end, I saved this world. You can live happy now." Edward hugged me, tears starting to form "No...no! You can't die! This isn't right... why can't there be a world in which you live?! We can all live together in happiness because...because.... I love you!" Hearing those words only brought sorrow to my heart. I loved Edward too and if only I could see him longer. "I love you too, Edward. But I'm sorry. This is the only world line in which you two survive." I lifted my head wryly "Live on Edward Elric. Become great for me. I'll always be watching you for up above." With the last little bit of strength I had, I leaned over and kissed his cheek. I then went limp. Darkness clouding my gaze once more.
