Rayne woke up confused as to what the warmth pressed up against her body was or rather who it was. She slowly looked over and saw Ricky with his arms around her waist. His black hair covered his face, but she cold still make out his features and that he still had eye liner on. She smiled to her self and slipped out of his loose grip. She felt the sense of butterflies in her stomach but quickly stopped thinking about it. She didn't need to have her heart broken by a rockstar that probably didn't give two shits about her. She picked up her phone because it was flashing blue telling her she had a text. She opened it up with the password and checked her messages.
To: Rayne
From: Chris
Hey wake up Ricky as soon as you get this and meet us in the lobby. Hurry! She noticed the message was sent about five minutes ago so she hurriedly went back over to the bed and tried waking up Ricky. "Ricky.." She whispered but loud enough to make him stir in his sleep and put the pillow over his head "Okay wanna be like that..." Rayne climbed on the bed and straddled his lap with her hands on his shoulders. She felt his hands go to her thighs then trail up to her face. He had both hands on her face making her laugh, "What do you want?" he said sounding muffled from the pillow. "Chris texted and said he wants us to meet him and the lobby. Oh and he said hurry." Rayne said with Ricky's hands still on her face. Ricky sighed and responded "How are we supposed to hurry when you're sitting on me?" Rayne laughed "Good point" She said as she got off of him. As her back was turned Ricky took the pillow off his face and smiled at her. He felt himself falling but wouldn't admit it. "Are you going to get out of bed?" Rayne said breaking his train of thought. Ricky stretched and got out of bed to get ready.
"There you guys are! What took so long?" Chris asked as he and the guys walked towards her and Ricky. "Your guitarist wouldn't wake up." Rayne laughed. "Guilty as charged." Ricky said smiling. "Well we're heading out for breakfast and then we're going to the next city." Chris told them. "Alright sounds good." Rayne said. Everyone started walking towards the doors of the lobby and to the bus, any other time they would have called a taxi but they had to leave right after breakfast to make it to the next city in time. Everyone decided to just go to a small diner, it would be cheaper and the food would get to them a lot quicker. Of course being in a smallish town they all got stares from the little bit of people that was in the diner, but didn't really notice them because they were use to it. Rayne how ever noticed one person looking at her in particular; a little girl. The little girl was dressed in torn jeans and a hoddie that Rayne could tell was too big for her. The little girls hair was nappy and unkempt. "Rayne, what're you looking at?" Ricky asked breaking Rayne's trance. "That little girl, she looks terrified." Ricky looked over to the little girl, she didn't seem to flinch when he did but he could tell she was very much terrified. "Do you think she's lost?" he asked. "Maybe." Rayne said.
After a while everyone had ordered and got their food. Rayne noticed the little girl watching her with a look in her eyes, a look that Rayne had seen many times in her self. "Do you think she's hungry?"Ricky whispered when he noticed Rayne gawking. Rayne didn't respond she just motioned to the little girl to come over. the little girl hesitant at first got up from her seat and walked over slowly to the group. By this time the band, Rayne and the little girl were the only ones in the small diner. That made Rayne wonder where her parents were, did she have any? Was she abandoned? These questions Rayne was dying to know. The little girl stood next to Rayne looking up at her with big eyes. "Hi are you hungry?" Rayne asked her in a gentle voice, Every on at the table just watched in silence. The little girl nodded slowly, "Okay you can have some of my food." "If you're going to feed the brat buy her a meal, people don't eat free in this diner.." The waitress said in a bitchy tone. "Shes a little girl, kids eat free. It says it on the menu." Ricky butted in. "she lives on the streets, street people don't eat free." Rayne sighed. "Fine I'll buy her the kids breakfast, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and bacon." Rayne ordered. The waitress scoffed and told the cook the order. A few minutes later the bitchy waitress sat a childs plate in front of Rayne. Every one scooted over in the booth to make enough room for the little girl, she sat in her spot and started devouring the food like she hadn't eaten in weeks, and that was probably true. "Slow down sweety you don't wanna get a tummy ache." Rayne said sweetly. The little girl nodded and slowed down a bit. " Rayne we really gotta get going.." Chris said. Rayne looked up from the little girl.. "I can't just leave her.." Rayne said sadly. "We can take her with us and drop her off at a foster home." Balz chimed in. "Okay.." Rayne said.
