We walk to the usher and he tells us the movie is in Theatre 6. We end up sitting pretty close to the last row. As I sit down Gally tries to sit next to me, "Um... no move Gally." Newt says.
"Why I am already sitting down?"
"Come on lad, can you just move down one seat?" Newt asks while raising his eyebrows. Gally sighs and gets up to sit beside Minho. Newt takes his seat and gives a small smile to me. Not long after the movie starts.
We are about a third of the way through the movie before I realize that Newt has his arm around my waist. I don't say anything and lay my head on his shoulder.
When the lights come up we all stand to leave and I see a few of the boys looking at Newt with a smirk, I look at him and I realize his arm is still around my waist. I can feel my cheeks start to heat up, and I slowly turn Newt and I towards the door so we can leave. As we head out the doors I can hear the snickers coming from the rest of the group and I decide to ignore them.
Once we are outside the cinema Newt removes his arm from my waist, presumably to shield me from any more hashing from the boys. The boys are sleeping over at Thomas's house and they are all getting picked up, so Allie and I are about to start walking to my house when Allie tells me that her mom wants her home tonight. I sigh and start to say my goodbyes to everyone when Newt asks me if I'm walking home alone. "Yeah, I am but it's ok. It's only a twenty-minute walk anyway."
"That's not safe at all, do you know what could happen in twenty minutes?" he says, astonished that I had even questioned walking home alone.
"It's fine really," I say, It really isn't, but I don't really have much of a choice.
"No, it's not. I'm walking you home."
"Do I have a choice?" I say sarcastically.
"No, just let me tell Tommy that I'll be a little late."
"Oh no don't miss the hangout because of me, I'll be fine. I promise." I say, now feeling bad about wanting him to come with me.
"No I want to, I'll just get a cab to Tommy's house."
"If you insist."
