Artemis POV:

I could see ghosts. My dad told him that was my quirk, but I later found my true quirk. I hid this from his dad, who already hated the ghosts and told me to ignore them. But how could I? They were so nice and friendly.

My dad told him his blindness was probably the drawback of my quirk. But we never went to see a quirk specialist, so I never knew if this was true or not. I always knew why we never went. Whenever i would see someone, they would ask what happened to my face. I would always feel my face, then ask to feel theirs. I wanted to feel the difference in our bodies. But they never let me. I could feel their disgust or worry.

I remember one night i saw a ghost of a girl. I wasn't supposed to talk to them, but i asked for her name. She told me her name was Xai (Pronounced Zy),and then said the chilling words, "Run, your father is dead. Run, you must never return." I told her i wouldn't and went back to the music i was listening to. She frowned and left the room. I got up, and unlocked the door. Sometimes they would go away if i did. I stayed with my music until i began to worry. I was worried, but confident. My dad probably left for groceries or something. I went downstairs to the kitchen to find a snack. I stopped dead in my tracks.

I felt the warm feeling of blood on the bottom of my foot. I kneeled, and felt the familiar feeling of my dad's hair, but in the middle i found a knife, covered with oozing blood. I froze, until he said weekly, "help". I ran outside, screaming. I had no phone, and i didn't know where anything really was.

Finally i heard another voice. It felt like i had been screaming for hours. "Are you ok? What's wrong? What happened to your face?". But this time i heard worry in her voice, not disgust. I quickly explained. "I found my father dead on my kitchen floor. He needs help!" Sensing my fear, the woman dialed 911.....

I sat outside the house, while i heard sirens around me. The woman sat down next to me. "Honey, what happened to your face? Are you ok?" I felt my face. it was the same as ever. No eyes at all. Just a blank piece of skin. I responded with another question. "May i touch your face?" She took my hand and brought it to her head. She felt the same as dad. Eyes, where they should be.

"Hello!" came the voice of a woman. "I'm a paramedic. May i ask what happened to your face? And can i take your bandages off?" "Bandages?" I replied sheepishly, "I was born blind. What are you talking about? If i do have bandages, you may take them off." Her hand reached my face. She then slowly took something off my face. It felt scalding as soon as she did. I immediately covered my e-... eyes? I had eyes. I helped her take off the rest off the bandages. Suddenly i felt a scalding hot light on my face.

i gasped, putting my hands over my face. "I-i have eyes?" i mumbled. "Yes dear." replied the paramedic, putting her hand on mine. "And i believe you just saw the sun."
