Eleanor.

Hi I'm Eleanor Carter, but people call me Elle. I'm currently a senior in high school and let's just say I'm not the best student. Well, i used to be close to this one girl named Chloe back in freshman but things went south when she started rumours that i was trying to steal her boyfriend from her. I tried to deny those rumours back then but they spread like wildfire and no one would believe me. Since then I've had this "bad reputation" in school but i started to not give a fuck and just roll with it. All the girls hate me, and all the boys want me. The teachers wish that i would stop trying to get myself in trouble but its not my fault that fights start because of me.

One things for sure though, i can't wait to finally graduate from this hellhole and get a job to save money from college. Most people would go to college straight away but not me, i can't afford to. My mom died after giving birth to me, so my dad has been working 2 jobs to keep us afloat. I'm very appreciative of him because he's done so much for me, and raised me well. Sometimes i wonder if I wasn't born, he would still have mom but he doesn't let me think that. He says that mom went through so much, and as much as it pains him to lose her, i was a blessing to them and that we should cherish every moment we have.

"I don't give a damn about my bad reputation." The music blasts through my ears even though i was in class. My music gets cut off by my earpiece being suddenly pulled out by my teacher Mr Alexander and he sighs. "Come on Eleanor, it's less than a month till you graduate. Please pay attention." I roll my eyes. I kindly put away my phone and earpiece and try to pay attention, this lesson might be useful when i go to college.

The school bell rang and it was time for lunch break, as i head to my locker, i see a guy leaning against it. "What do you want?" I spit while crossing my arms. "Elle, my parents aren't home today. I was thinking if we could do what we did last week." He asks nervously. "Sorry, who are you?" I ask, its kind of hard to keep track with the number of guys I've been with and sometimes they all start to look the same. "I'm Daniel, the junior." "Right, sorry I'm not free today." I decline and ask him to move away from my locker. He does so and stomps away. I put my books back into my locker and take out my lunch bag. I head to the bleachers to sit down and enjoy my lunch. I like eating there, it's peaceful. And sometimes if I'm lucky, i get to see some guys running shirtless.

The school went by pretty quick, i hop into my car and head home. I needed to start looking for jobs to save money for college. Most people think that a girl like me would not be able to attend college but that just makes me want to prove them wrong. I pull up to my house, and immediately go up to my room and plop down on my bed. I use my phone to scroll through job ads and i find a job at Tim Hortons, a cafe nearby. I head to the shower, and change out of my clothes into something more presentable. I head back down to my car and drive away to Tim Hortons.

"Hey, are you guys hiring?" I ask the barista. "Yeah, let me get you the manager." She smiles and walks away. The manager comes over and we talk about me working there. We came to an agreement that i will start part time until i end school then continue working full time. He also said that i can start tomorrow which is great news. I thank him and head back home. I'm pretty excited to start my first ever job, and finally achieve my goal of going to college.

As i reach my house, i see my dad's car already parked in the garage. "Hey Dad." I greet him as I enter. "Hello pumpkin." He replies and kisses my cheek. "How was school today?" "It was alright. I got a job at Tim Horton's and I'm starting tomorrow." "Elle, i told you, you don't have to work. I have enough money to send you to college." "I know dad, but i want to save up for all the other college expenses as well. I know its going to be expensive." I tell him and he sighs. "My pumpkin is growing up so fast." He says and i reach over to give him a hug. I may be known to have a bad reputation in school, but I'll always have a soft spot for my dad. After all, he's all i ever got.
