I arrived and had everyone help me get the food and supplies out. I had already wrapped the presents so they couldn’t see them and I had them hidden in my jeep but I also had the ones I had wrapped earlier in the month and the jeep didn’t have very much room to hide them so I threw a blanket over them. We unloaded and walked inside.
“So where’s my present?” Louis asked loudly
“I have no idea what you are talking about.” I said calmly so he couldn’t read the excitement in my voice.
“You’re lying to me!” he exclaimed. “Kavey and Amelia told us you didn’t want to come with them because you had to pick some stuff up from the store. So I will ask you once more where are the presents?” he asked with a mischievous smile on his face. I glanced at the door then back at him. “AH HA! They’re in her jeep” he shouted as he bounced to his feet. Well since I was quicker I grabbed my keys and sprung out the door and hopped into the jeep and locked the doors he wasn’t very far behind me though. I looked out the window and he was smiling at me through the window. I made a face and started the jeep. He mouthed the words “You have to come back sometime.” Gave me a creepy looking smile then took a step away from the jeep.
I drove off further up the mountain to take some time to think about where to hide the presents. I was about six miles up the mountain when I glanced down at my phone it had a few messages and a missed call. I hadn’t even seen the other vehicle coming down the same road till it was too late. . . . . . I was hit.
