It was 5pm and we were finally into familiar territory, i turned and saw Jessica looking out the window probably counting the houses until she is reunited with Mason, watching them be apart this summer was heart breaking but i truly believe it is making them a lot stronger
I can't believe the summer has been and gone, it's back to school tomorrow, back to normality at least
This summer without Caiden was interesting to say the least, i understand where i went wrong and can only hope to grow from it, this summer away from him has made me realise the guy i have
"Ahhh!" Jess screamed making me jump out of my skin, we were pulling into the driveway and there Mason stood on the door stop, i smiled at the pair of them and before the car had fully come to a stop she had pounced out of the car and into his arms, Peter chuckled as he finally put the hand break on allowing me to get out Safely
"hey trouble" Mason said hugging me too while Jess still clung to him
"Hey mase" I said hugging him back and heading into the house, they all wanted to do this big welcome home thing but neither me or Jess wanted that, we just wanted to come home and just relax

I headed upstairs with my back and instantly went to my room, i put my bags down and fell back first onto my bed closing my eyes
"Hello to you too" A voice said making my eyes go wide, i would remember that voice from anywhere
"Caiden" I whispered before running over into his arm
"Hey Mare" he said hugging me back
"God you are so tanned" I said making him chuckle
"Yeah I went away with my family and spent the entire summer outside" he said tucking a piece of hair behind my ear
"I've missed you so damn much" He said and before i replied i crashed out lips together, Yes we aren't technically together but i just had this urge and i went with it. Don't shoot me
"I see you miss me too" He chuckled making me blush, i hugged him again and this time he picked me up spinning me around
"No going away any more please" he said, i smiled
"You are stuck with me" i replied squeezing him as close as i could
"Any time Maris and you'll strangle the poor guy" Mason said standing at the door
"I see she liked her surprise" Jess said earning a glare from me
"You knew" i asked making her nod, i continued to glare at her making her and Mason laugh
"Ready for the home stretch tomorrow" Mason asked as the four of us were sat in the living room
"Hell yes" i replied, tomorrow marked the first day of our last year, it was the end of era
"I don't know, it seems like so much pressure on something we have been doing for 4 years already" Caiden said
"Yeah but this year is the important one, the year that every other year has been leading up to, we have our exams, applying for college etc" Jess explained
"I get that i really do, i just don't see why it has to seem so stressful" Caiden returned, in all honesty i can see where he is coming but it is so important to remain focused this year

It was now late at night, Mason and Jessica had just left me and Caiden so they could sleep
"Do you want me to sleep on the sofa?" Caiden asked making me look at him confused
"Thought you didn't want me to go anywhere" I said which in turn made him confused
"If you don't come upstairs with me, i might run away in the middle of the night and never come back" I said with a smirk making him roll his eyes with a smile and follow me upstairs with his hands never leaving my waist
"This is going to be a good year and it will be purely down to you" Caiden said as he laid in bed with me, i smiled at him right as his lips made contact with my forehead
"Are we going to be okay" I asked knowing that we hadn't had that conversation
"As far as WE are concerned, i would say we are more then okay" He whispered
"I love you" He continued, it took my by surprise and i don't know why, i looked up his gorgeous blue eyes
"I love you too" I said before he pressed our lips together again
