Him and I

Chapter 1

You know when you meet someone and everything just feels like it will all be ok? Every time you are with them, you feel safe, every conversation, every hug, every kiss. That is how I feel about my best friend Daniel. Except I haven't seen him in months. Daniel joined a band called Why Don't We. He has been for a few years now. 

The last time I actually hugged him and seen him in real life was when he was on American Idol. So it has been years. I know I said it has been months but that means it has been months since I have seen his face on FaceTime. We only text or have a 2 minute phone call. I always miss him.

I look over at my phone and its 2 a.m. and I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about Daniel, I truly miss him. I sighed and got out of bed and walked to the kitchen to get a late night snack. I decided to just get a piece of fruit and call it good.

I walked over to the living room to watch something, as I was scrolling through channels, I suddenly stop on a gossip show. No way. Could I finally see him? Why Don't We is coming here? 

I got excited and started thinking about if I was finally able to see him. After all, Its always, Him and I.

Hey everyone! This is my new book and I hope you all like it! This is a short chapter but I wanted to show her thought process before Why Don't We comes into the story.
