"Focus on the good."
Lilac Manor."I'm hallucinating aren't I?" I asked Malachi between pants since we had to rush to the bathroom. Jeez. Who knew the hallway would be a carnival at ten am in the morning? Tell me the truth...who?
"Unfortunately not Lilac." He asked checking to see if anyone was coming from the doorway.
"Well thanks, but I doubt you'll want this back." I said pointing to the blood stain on his perfectly expensive maroon hoodie.
"You can keep it. Have a ton.- he then walked over to me near the sink from the bathroom door -need help? He asked pointing to my attempts to scrub the stain off.
"I'm fine!" I accidentally shouted making him take a step back in defeat. "Just leave me alone."
For a second I thought he was going to protest considering the look on his face throught the reflection on the mirror in front of me.
Malachi had his brows knitted with both hands in his pockets and a clenched jaw. "Get out. You're in the girls bathroom." I raised my voice at him just to shoot that problem back to mind in his memory.
Without another word her walked out leaving me with his hoodie and a wet skirt.
Just great!
Probably about thirty minutes after I made sure I was clean, I walked out of the bathroom like a spy in disguise just praying to God to not let anyone see me luckily, I always stashed a pair of sunglasses in my bags so I slipped those on.
So much for the no sunglasses policy I guess.
I had already missed one class and was starving so I decided to go into the cafeteria. I grabbed a few bits and pieces off the trays and headed to my seat only to be welcomed by two girls; Madeleine and Blair who looked rather... distressed to see me.
"Hey." I said to them as I took my seat opposite them.
"Is it true?- Madeline started -that you er..."
But before she finished I cut her off with the answer she wanted "It is and before you start judging me, I'm not ashamed of it. It's pretty normal."
So as we all know, there's this type of tag given to girls who accidentally mess themselves up.
Keyword as accidentally.
In my opinion, its totally unnecessary and unexpected so why should I be ashamed for something I can't control?
"No no! I didn't want to judge you or anything... It's just that I...may just-
"Ugh! Shut it Maddy." Blair hit the back of bet head while munching on a salami sandwich. "Forget about that. " Then she turned to me. "Is it true Malachi covered for you."
"I guess." I answered trying to figure out if this plate of mashed potatoes was gone off or not. Lowkey, I think it was so I just pushed it away and had the sandwich. "I didn't ask him to though."
At the moment I said that they both looked me in the eye and I could feel the mental slap Blair was giving me.
"What?!"
"Behind you." Madeline whispered as she awkwardly pointed to whatever was behind me.
I turned only to be greeted by the face of the headmaster; Dean Thomas.
Throughout my weeks at Rosewood High, I'd never seen him before in person if not on posters hang around the school.
He was a tallish man with distressed brown hair which had been sleeked back neatly. He had a chiseled jaw line and brown eyes protected with a pair of Burberry reading glasses as I could tell from the engravemnt on them.
