Jimin is a junior in college. Jungkook is his senior. Ever since the boy was first ragged by Jungkook and his group of friends, the senior started flirting with the boy. Jimin found it weird - Jimin hated his chubby self, his height and tiny hands - and he foolishly assumed there was no way a senior college heartthrob would ever be interested in him, especially after Lisa, his cousin sister warned him about Jungkook's playboy nature. 

Jungkook had a lot of friends. He was a natural flirt. Was he a playboy? Noone really knows. Even if he had been one earlier, ever since his interest in Jimin, he stopped sleeping round. 

But did Jimin care? No. Why? Because he felt insecure about himself. He felt he didn't deserve a handsome hunk as his boyfriend. He didn't want to get hurt when Jungkook cheats on him. He knew he would be responsible for the taller man leaving him. He didn't want that heart break.

But did Jimin's indifferent nature stop Jungkook from flirting with the boy? No

Jimin liked Jungkook, it was pretty evident in the smaller's eyes but he wasn't confident enough to pursue it. But the day he saw Jungkook backhug Namjoon, another senior - that broke his heart. Why? Because Jungkook always back hugged Jimin when the boy entered college.  Jimin has never seen the taller hug anyone else like that and he always felt it special and now he realised that he was just a fool to fall for the man 

Even though they were not dating. It hurt. It hurt Jimin a lot to see his crush hug someone else

As soon as Jimin finished his exams, his mom brought forth a proposal. Jimin was ready to marry anyone his parents brought him but when he realised it was Jungkook, he refused. 

Jimin immediately starts crying, telling her that the man is a playboy and he didn't want to get hurt in the future 

"...it's your responsibility to make your husband stay…" the mom says "...because you are marrying him and that's final. You already gave your word earlier…"

Jimin became rude to Jungkook, even from before marriage. He didn't want to fall for the man more than he already has. He wanted Jungkook to get fed up of him and divorce him on his own  

To be honest, it hurt to see the sadness in the taller's eyes whenever Jimin ignored him but Jimin was stubborn in his decision 

Jungkook never said anything. He continued being his old self of making Jimin feel special and loved. 

Jungkook would wake him up, cook him food, buy him his favorites - he made sure Jimin was happy 

Jimin obviously appreciated the care but he knows Jungkook must be cheating on the side and  he didn't want to fall for Jungkook

Things go on like this for nearly 7 months and Jimin has enough. It is not in his nature to not smile. It is not in his nature to not be clingy and to cook for his family. Internally he is dying to take care of Jungkook just as much as the man took care of him. And so he gets angry one day after Jungkook invited Namjoon over and the man left

"Stop it Jungkook! Why are you caring about a nonexistent relationship? We should just get divorced so you can go back to your mistress!  …" Jimin is angry and he starts crying feeling upset ".... I don't want your fake love!" 

Jungkook is shocked at the outburst. He feels upset and then he feels angry 

"What the fck did you just say?!" His voice rings around the house "...fake love?! Mistress?! What the actual fck!" Jungkook storms towards the boy who is trembling now. Jimin has never seen Jungkook's angry side "...what did I do for you to accuse me like this?! Did I ever hurt you?! Do you have proof that I have a mistress?!...." Jimin shakes his head trembling in Jungkook's hold "...Then why are you  saying this…." Jungkook's voice wavers "...Look, you didn't want this marriage. I get it. But I'm human too.. don't hurt me like this Jimin...especially when I did nothing but try to make our marriage work.... If you're really unhappy then I will divorce you…" Jungkook says the words that Jimin wanted to hear all along but why did it hurt. Why did the thought that it could really happen nearly give him a heart attack. "...I married you because I love you…" Jungkook's voice is low "... and it's in my nature to flirt... but I have never slept with anyone after I fell for you... that was in our 2nd year of college... so please.. don't accuse me... I will give you your freedom... but don't say my love for you is fake…"

Jimin cries as he watches the man stand on the balcony, wiping away his tears. It hurt to see a manly man cry. It really hurt 

Jimin touches the man's shoulder 

"I'm sorry" 

Jungkook's eyes are red. He smiles sadly before turning to leave when Jimin stops him

"I... I love you too"

Jungkook at him, shocked 

"I'm sorry... I liked you too when we were in college but I was afraid of your reputation.... I didn't like that you flirted with me and then you back hugged Namjoon… you only ever hugged me like that in college… it hurt me to see you with him like that… that was our special thing… I… I thought you were just playing with my mind...... I hated that... i'm sorry... please forgive me... please give me a chance to make it up to you..... I don't want to lose you…"

Jungkook chuckles sadly "...it's true.. I only back hugged you… its true it was our special thing… and whatever you saw that day… it was not like you think. I was looking at your pictures on my phone. I used to kinda stalk you in college...and Namjoon saw it and he took the phone and ran… I guess you saw me finally reach him and try to get my phone back…..wait a minute!" Jungkook's eyes widen "...you liked me from college days too?!"

Jimin's face reddened "...yea… I did… but I thought you were just playing with me… I…" 

Jungkook's eyes water as he hugs the boy in front of him "...so foolish...we both are...especially you…" Jungkook says, making Jimin chuckle sadly as he lets his tears wet the man's shirt "...this is the problem of lack of communication. A lot of misunderstandings…" Jungkook says pulling away from the hug to wipe the boy's tears 

"You really think so low of yourself huh? Thinking no one wants to be with you? Well you are wrong. There were quite a lot of guys who wanted to date you… I stopped them… I didn't want you to even for once think of anyone other than me…"

Jimin's eyes widen when he hears Jungkook confess 

"So… I… do you still want a divorce?" Jungkook suddenly asks making Jimin's eyes widen even more 

"What?! No! No! I don't want a divorce… I love you!"

Jungkook chuckles as he pulls the boy into his arms "...I love you too…" 

Jimin gasps when Jungkook tilts his chin up a bit harshly "...you have a lot of making up to do for all the heart aches you caused me…." Jungkook leans down to whisper in Jimin's ear "....baby boy" Jungkook smirks
