Josh's POV
We've been on tour now for 3 1/2 weeks. Tyler and Alex have yet to talk but boy have we been talking. Sometimes we sneak outta the hotel at night and go to the park or somewhere near by like right now. She is a rebellious type of girl and I wonder how I have ever seen this side of her.
"Where are we going" I asked walking beside her
"You'll see" we had our skateboards in our hands and once we got outta the hotel we skated.she did some tricks like Ollie's,pipe grinds,and some kick flips. Has she been hiding this side of her from Tyler? Probably he doesn't like rebellious girls or skaters. He likes quite emotional girls. But I like the opposite. "You like to climb right?" She asked
"Hella yeah I do" I smiled and we cruised along side by side. Now is my chance should I take it or should I leave it....take it josh. Slowly I reached for her hand ever so slowly. But once I was about to grab it a crack stopped my board and made me fly off (as a skater this is real when I got a skateboard the cracks in the road or sidewalks are you worst enemy)
Alex jumped off and ran to me "are you okay?" She asked holding a hand up for me.
"Yeah I'm fine" I didn't want to let go of her hand but i did. She looked at my arm "your gonna have some horrid jerky skin" (road rash leads horrid scabs aka jerky skin)
I looked at my arm and rubbed it gently "I'll be fine" she handed me my board
"You wanna walk or skate?" Alex looked at me for a moment."it's right around the corner" she pointed
"Walk.."I rubbed my elbow gently as we walked. The stupid crack ruined my chance. Fuck cracks in the cement or concrete. When we arrived she set her board down and looked up at the old billboard. It's lights didn't work but the view seemed breathtaking. She jumped up the ladder and started to climb up. I followed behind until we reached the top. The view of the city was beautiful. I looked at her hand again but she moved it when she sat down with her legs dangling. I sighed and sat down next to her.
"So come here often?" I asked smiling at her.
She took my SnapBack hat and put it on her head with it tilted up "oh about once every year" she looked at the city.
"Hey Alex can I tell you something?" I bit my lip
"Go for it"
"Well we've been friends for a long time now....and I.....I"I couldn't get the words out. "Oh fuck it" I leaned over and cupped her face kissing her lips for a good maybe 8 seconds until I pulled away. Her face was a mixture of being shocked and happiness with a a dash if confusion.
"I've always liked you...even when you were dating Tyler...It just took me a year and a half to tell you" I looked down some smiling to myself proud of myself to be in fact. "And you don't have to say yes but..." I gulped "will,will you be my girlfriend" she didn't answer for a while and I got the hint "sorry for asking" I rubbed my neck
"I didn't say no" she smiled big at me "I would love to"
I looked up at her and smiled big. It took me long enough to get this off my chest. I'm glad it wasn't all for nothing.
