I just finished my part time job and was heading home

I'm doing multiple jobs just to get into college

I'm an orphan and I live by myself

I never had a family and bills were getting harder and harder to pay.

"NESSA!!" I felt something bump into my back making my stumble on my feet

"Emily? What is it?" My co-worker Emily had came to me

She hands it back and I see that an otome game had been downloaded "I have to go now but see you tomorrow Nessa"

"Bye!" I waved at her before we headed our separate ways

I got on the buss and decided to try out the game

I tapped the screen and it when into the game

We were playing as a girl named Lilian

There were three male leads and a villainess named Catherine

I ended up playing the game the whole ride home which was long

I beat the whole game and spent a few bucks along the way

I exited the buss and started walking home

There was a man lying against the wall

I kept walking until he muttered "you will never live a happy life. No one will ever love you"

I covered my ears and started to run

Tears blurred my sight

He was right... no one has ever loved me and it was starting to get grim

I wasn't looking where I was going and tripped over

I look up to see myself in an alleyway in a part of town i've never seen

I slowly got up and crossed my arms trying to quickly get to safety

I turned to see the man from before who was yelling

"LET ME GO!" I screamed and tried yanking my arm

When I got lose I ran to the bridge

I fell into the freezing water my screams muffled by the water

With heavy breaths I studied my surroundings

My eyes widened as I watched him walk out

"Get. out" I spat

The maids hurried and left

I got up and walked to the mirror

A beautiful girl with red hair and eyes stared back at me

I touched my face and the girl touched hers

"is this me?" I had never been this pretty
