Jalkar picked up the dragon egg. He couldn't believe he was bested by a girl! Even so, retreat was better that certain death. Cursing as he stumbled on a rock, he ran and ran until he felt his legs would fall off.
Suddenly, Jalkar felt searing pain in his stomach. He turned to see the girl—apparently, she had followed him—with a bow she just shot at him. She quickly reloaded it and aimed at his heart, but just as she was about to release the arrow, something jumped at her. The arrow flew but missed his chest, lodging itself in his arm instead. The girl stepped back as Jalkar's ex-partner took a defensive position. She hurried back the way they came with the egg as Grim turned toward Jalkar.

Jalkar.
Grim still couldn't believe he had somehow stumbled upon his ex-partner. Why was he here? Why was the girl shooting him?
Quickly Grim got out a healing potion from his inventory and poured some on Jalkar's wounds. Jalkar gritted his teeth at the contact at first, then sighed at the relief it brought and relaxed. Soon, he slipped into unconsciousness(lol is saying that even legal)

"Ow, Grim!"
Grim rolled his eyes as he made a little grunt, continuing to bind Jalkar's arm with his bandage. Compensation for a favour from years ago. If it weren't for that, Grim would have left Jalkar to die. "Ow! Stop doing it so tight!"
Ignoring the patient's grumbling, Grim finished and moved to his companion's stomach.
How should I do this...
Grim sat the patient upright and wound the strip around his stomach, earning a few oohs and aahs from the tightness. After around ten minutes, the task was finished. Jalkar was pale, having passed out from blood loss earlier.
Grim knew he needed medical attention immediately so he hoisted the unconscious man onto his back and headed to the nearest town.
