I scrunched my face in disgust as I watched Jesus cover his food in ketchup. "Oh, Jesus.... I made that from scratch with some really good cheese." Lena said. "It's great." He smiled looking up from his plate.

"It's a lost cause babe." Stef said sitting at the table. "Somebody pass me the tabasco?" She joked. Lena glared at her. "I'm kidding."

The table erupted in small laughter.

"I like this." Callie pointed out Brandon's song. "Yeah, i have to play it for the Grim Reaper tomorrow." He muttered flipping through his notes. "The Grim Reaper?"

"His piano teacher." Callie informed putting her plate in the sink. I sent her a look as they had been getting really close, she scoffed with a small smile sitting beside me again. "He scares the crap out of me." Brandon told us.

Stef sighed as Mariana laughed at her phone. "Hey, miss thing. You know the rules, no phones at the table."

"Brandon has his computer down here." She defended "I'm studying." He countered. I chuckled at the pair. "Yeah right."

Mariana turned the phone to Jesus and he laughed with her. "Before I take that away, what's so funny?" Stef asked. "Just this thing Lexi sent me, you wouldn't get it." I couldn't help but frown at the name.

"Lexi must be excited, she gets to come back to school tomorrow." Lena said to the twins. "Wait, her parents are letting her come back?" Callie asked, glancing at me.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom quick." I muttered getting up.

To my luck they were done talking about Lexi when I got back. But I could also hear Mariana on the phone. "You said that. Look I'm not stealing from my mothers."

"Hey you okay?" I asked her quietly when she hung up the phone. She nodded her head. "Let's talk later." We sat back down.

_______________

"You okay?" I asked Jesus when he walked into our room. "We went to see my mom." He said opening his laptop. "And?"

"She wants to get better but she has some scary ass boyfriend that won't let her." He told me. I walked over to his bed. "All she needs is a bus ticket."

He showed me the website for a women's shelter in San Fransico.

"Just checking in." Mariana said walking into our room, Jesus lowered his laptop screen. "You seemed kind of...you know, this afternoon."

Jesus rolled his eyes. "I don't need a whole speech on how much of a user our mom is." He snapped.

"She knows what to say, she makes stuff up Jesus." Mariana told him. He frowned. "She didn't make up that skeezy ass boyfriend."

She sighed. "You think if we give her money for a bus ticket she'll actually buy one?" Jesus groaned. "I told her no money didn't I?"

I bit my lip knowing he was lying to her. "Did you mean it?" Mariana asked. He spared me a look, telling me not to say anything. "Yeah, doesn't mean I can't feel bad."

"Why'd you lie to her?" I asked him once she left. I hated lying to Mariana, we had gotten so close. "I didn't completely lie, I'm not giving Ana any money. I'm gonna buy her an actual ticket."

"You sure thats a good idea?" I asked him. "I can't leave her like that Liv." He told me. "Just be careful Jesus, I don't want you to get hurt."

____________

Jesus ran up to me after school. "What?" I asked him. "Mariana doesn't think we should help Ana, will you come with me?"

"Can't Lexi go with you?" I asked, still upset about everything that happened. "Liv I'm sorry about all of that really, things are just complicated."

I sighed. "Why should I risk breaking my trust with Mariana?" I asked him. "Because you're a good person?" I rolled my eyes walking away.

"Liv I still like you." He called after me. "Its just that I'm with Lexi right now." I felt my chest tighten at his words.

"Fine, I'll go with you." I gave in. "I knew you liked me back." He teased. "Foster siblings can't date Jesus." I reminded him.

He chuckled running after me. "So we're cool?" I smiled. "Yeah we're cool. " He grinned. "Knew you couldn't stay away from me blondie." I rolled my eyes, shoving his shoulder.

I stayed close to Jesus as we got closer to Ana's house. I could feel eyes on me as we walked down the street. "This is it." He pointed to one of the run down houses.

"You ready?" I asked when he hesitated. He gave me a weak smile. "Yeah, I think so."

We walked up to the house and Jesus knocked on the door. An older, scary looking man answered. I assumed it was Ana's boyfriend.

"What'd you want?" He asked, glaring at Jesus. I stepped behind him slightly when the mans eyes traveled over to me. "Is Ana here?" Jesus snapped.

The man scoffed. "No." He started to shut the door. "Oh come on, man-" Jesus started but the door slammed.

"Maybe we could try again tomorrow?" I said when Jesus frowned. Before he answered an email popped up on his phone. "It's from Ana."

The email told us to meet her at the women's shelter. "Come on, it's back this way." He said pointing back the way we came.

"Are you sure Jesus?" I asked, I knew it was his mom but he hated her and he was doing so much for her. "Positive."

I want along with him anyways. Even if I was a little concerned about everything he was doing, I was gonna support him.

Ana smiled when we walked up. "I'll wait over here." I told him, sitting on a bench a few feet away so they could talk.  "Thanks."

As I sat I couldn't help but think about Liam and Gabi. With everything that's happening with Jesus and Mariana and Ana, I honestly forgot.

I blocked him but he could still find a way to go after me or her. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if he did something to her.

"Hey, you good?" Jesus said breaking my thoughts. I gave him a small smile. "Yeah, um, how'd it go?"

"Good, I think. She went in so...." I nodded. "That's good." His phone started to ring. "I"m with Lexi at the movies." Jesus told Mariana.

He sighed. "Me and Liv are downtown. At state and 3rd." My eyes went wide in worry. "What's wrong?"
