Sighing, Kageyama tucked his phone into his pocket and continued walking through the halls of Karasuno. Whoever that kid was, they were weird. Why'd they wanna talk to him so bad? It's not like this kid knew Kageyama at all.

Whatever, he thought, walking into his classroom. They probably won't message me again.

"Bye!" Hinata yelled, grabbing his things and running out of the house. Their little sister, Natsu, stood in the front door watching him struggle to get on his bike.

"Shoyooooooo," she called as they continued their struggle.

    "Sorry, Natsu, I can't–!"

    WHAP.

He was cut off by his now giggling sister throwing a container at them. "Hey!"

"You we're gonna forget your food," she said innocently. Hinata pouted and rubbed his face before shoving the container in his bag and biking away.

The sky was a soft blue with very few clouds. The temperature was just right, and his path to school was full of beautiful plants and pleasant scenery. It would've been a lovely day to take everything in and enjoy themselves before school, if he was able to actually leave on time. Sadly for them, Hinata never left on time. He pedalled like thtir life depended on it, going so fast that the wind made his eyes tear up. At one point he almost missed a turn and drove straight into a bush. This was the most focused he ever was in the day– their mom would kill him if he missed their first class.

Finally, the school came into view. He hastily got off their bike and ran to his class. He was just in time for their name to be called for attendance.

"HERE!!" He yelled, running into the classroom before tripping and falling straight on his face. Their fellow first years giggled at him while his teacher looked at them with disapproval. "Ow."

"If you showed up on time, maybe you wouldn't have fallen. Take your seat,"

Hinata, once again pouting, found his seat and began scribbling on a random sheet of paper. They already couldn't wait for the school day to be over, to go to volleyball practice...

Kageyama's final class came to an end. After a long day of falling asleep in class, he could finally head to volleyball practice. It was the only part of the school day he really looked forward to– classes were boring, and he didn't have many people to talk to during breaks. Plus, he had a deep love for the game.

He gathered his things and began on his way to the club room when he felt his phone buzz. He pulled it out, expecting a message from his parents or a member of the team, but instead was met with another text from the unknown number. Them again? he thought, a bit shocked. He didn't expect more than one conversation with this person. Why were they still texting him?

Unknown: I'm out of class!

Kageyama rolled his eyes. What a silly thing to tell him.

Kageyama: good for you?

Unknown: heyyy :(

Kageyama: why are you still texting me?

Unknown: I'm tryna make friends :)

Unknown: are you a high school student too?

That's a little personal, Kageyama thought. He debated whether or not to tell this person for a few minutes. Before he could answer, he received another text.
