Amy woke up to her phone ringing. She grabbed it quickly, checking who the caller was. It was Sheldon.

"Hello, Sheldon." she answered the phone, putting it up to her ear.

"Hello, Amy. I think I'm sick and Penny isn't here to take care of me." Sheldon said, sounding put off. Amy could literally hear him frowning over the phone. She knew what he was hinting at.

"Would you like me to come over?" Amy asked, trying to keep the annoyance out of her voice.

"Yes please," Sheldon said in a child-like tone. Amy rolled her eyes.

"I'll see you in an hour, okay?" she said. After all, she had to shower, get dressed and eat breakfast. She had just woken up.

"Try to make it half an hour. Goodbye." Sheldon said, rather authoratively.

Amy sighed as she heard Sheldon hang up. Sometimes she wondered why she even bothered to stick around.

Sheldon opened the door barely after the first knock. He swung it open so quickly that Amy almost accidentally knocked on his chest. Luckily, her reflexes weren't that so slow and she stopped her knuckles from touching Sheldon before he could protest about how much he was against physical contact.

Amy opened her mouth to say hello, but she was rudely cut off.

"I've drawn up a chart eliminating all the possible illnesses I could have, based on symptoms." Sheldon strode back to the couch and the massive whiteboard in the middle of the room, clutching his long checkered robe tighter around him.

Amy put her handbag down onto the coffee table and sat next to Sheldon's spot. She listened attentively as he described his illness.

"Every time I see you, or see even a photo of you, my face becomes extremely heated up." Sheldon began to describe, pointing at one dot point on the whiteboard. "But I know I don't have a fever. Secondly, I always feel flustered when I mention or talk about you, but I know that's not-"

"Sheldon," Amy cut him off. She didn't have to listen to him describing every symptom he had; she already knew what it was. And it wasn't a sickness.

"Amy! Don't you know that it's rude to interrupt people when they're speaking?" Sheldon scolded in annoyance.

"Listen, Sheldon!" Amy quickly said. He frowned even more at being interrupted again, but Amy ignored it.

"You're not sick." she continued patiently. "These so-called 'symptoms' you're experiencing are not from illness."

Sheldon furrowed his brow, looking extremely flabbergasted. "Then what are they from?"

"They're symptoms of... well, love."

A thick, awkward silence filled the air. Amy looked nervously away from Sheldon. She wasn't sure how he would react. Finally, he spoke.

"Love, you say?" Sheldon considered thoughtfully. "Amy Farrah Fowler... I do believe you're correct."

"What..?" Amy faltered. She couldn't believe her ears. Did Sheldon just agree with her outrageous proposition?

Before she could say another word, Sheldon spoke. "Based on behaviour I've seen from Leonard, Howard and Raj, I think I can agree with you."

Amy held her breath. She had a feeling she knew what Sheldon was about to say. And she was right. Her heart started beating faster and a huge happy grin broke out on her face as Sheldon uttered the words she never thought she'd hear.

"Amy... I love you."
