Larissa Scarlet Black, daughter of alleged mass murderer Sirius Black was born on March 22nd 1978.
When Larissa was 2 years old her father was sent to Azkaban and since her godfather James Potter and his wife Lily Potter had died just before he left she was raised by her father's other best friend Remus Lupin. However Remus Lupin had a condition, he was a werewolf. This made it difficult for him to raise a child since he turned once every month, so every month Larissa would stay with the Weasley family for a few days.
She was the same age as the twins, Fred and George and they quickly became best friends. Larissa loved staying with the Weasley's, Mr and Mrs Weasley had 7 children, this meant that there was never a dull moment at the Burrow.
When they were 9 years old the twins decided that Larissa's name was too long and she needed a nickname, and from that day everyone called her Lara.
When Lara and the twins turned 11 they all received letters of acceptance from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the 3 couldn't wait to attend the school they had heard so much about from the older Weasley siblings, Bill, Charley and Percy.
Saying that Lara was excited to attend Hogwarts would have been an understatement, she dreamed of going her whole life. Remus used to tell her stories of his time at Hogwarts with her father and their friends and she couldn't wait to hopefully be sorted into Gryffindor just as her father and uncle had been.
When Lara got to Hogwarts it was even more magical than she had imagined and the Great Hall definitely stood up to its name. When the sorting began Lara was extremely nervous and it definitely didn't help that when her name was called most of the hall started to whisper since the Black family didn't have the best reputation. She sat on the stool and Professor McGonagall placed the sorting hat on her head, she was extremely relieved when the hat put her into Gryffindor and not long after the twins were placed in Gryffindor too.
During their next four years at Hogwarts, Lara and the twins became even more inseparable than they already were, and now they had 3 other close friends as well, Lee Jordan who shared a dorm with the twins and Angelina Johnson and Alicia Spinnet who shared a dorm with Lara. Most of the time it was Lara, Lee and the twins since the girls had other friends that they would also spend time with. Lara was used to people occasionally whispering things about her, with her being the daughter of Sirius Black but as the years went by the whispers slowly went away as Lara created her own reputation as an extremely bright witch and an excellent chaser for the Gryffindor quidditch team.
