Author's Note- This chapter starts in Prisoner of Azkaban, and Lara is in her 5th year now.
'Lara are you ready? If you want to get to Diagon Alley before the Weasley's you need to hurry up.' Lupin shouted from the bottom of the stairs.
'I'm coming now Uncle Remus', Lara responded, as she dragged her trunk out of her bedroom, but before she had the chance to drag it down the stairs her uncle levitated it down for her since it was rather heavy.
'Okay are you sure you have everything?'
'Yes Uncle'
'Right then you best be off, give the Weasley's my best, and remember now speak clearly' Remus said as you grabbed a handful of floo powder and stood in the fireplace.
'I will Uncle Remus, I'll see you in a week.' she said as she threw the powder into the flames and said 'Diagon Alley'.
In a flash of green flames Lara was transported to Diagon Alley, she dusted off her clothes and made her way to the Leaky Cauldron, dragging her trunk behind her with difficulty. When she entered she noticed a familiar boy sat by himself with a butterbeer.
'Harry?' she said as she walked towards him.
'Lara? What are you doing here?'
'I'm spending the week here with the Weasley's, they're getting back from Egypt today. What are you doing here?' Lara asked, she was pretty sure the Weasley's never mentioned Harry staying.
'Well long story short I blew up my Aunt' He said so fast that it took her a minute to register what he said.
'I'm sorry you what? Why would you blow up your Aunt?'
'I didn't mean to do it. I just got mad and it happened, then I left and ended up here.' He replied, and Lara was sure he was trying very hard not to laugh.
'Well you can tell me all about whilst we go to the pet store' Lara said.
'Why are we going to the pet store?' Harry asked with a confused expression.
'So that I can buy a pet obviously, come on help me get my trunk upstairs and we can go.' Lara said as Harry helped her with her trunk.

Soon enough, Lara and Harry arrived at the Magical Menagerie. They walked inside and were greeted by an older witch.
'What can I do for you today? Are you here for an Owl, a Cat, a Toad, a Rat? We don't have much choice when it comes to rats or toads but we have plenty of owls and a few cats' she told them.
'I'm here for a cat, I've wanted one for a while and my uncle finally agreed to let me get one' Lara replied, and with that the witch showed Lara all the cats they had. One cat caught her eye immediately, he was jet black with the most beautiful green eyes Lara had ever seen.
'I'll take this one' Lara said without hesitation.
'Are you sure dear? You haven't seen them all yet' The witch said.
'I'm sure' Lara said.
'Very well, she's been here a while this one, you see black cats are thought to be bad omens so no one wanted her'. The witch's reply only made Lara want the cat even more, she knew what it felt like to be abandoned after all.
After purchasing her new cat Lara and Harry made their way back to the Leaky Cauldron.
'So what are you gonna call her?' Harry asked as they entered the inn.
'Onyx'
