The Stunt

Chapter 1

I sat in the office, bored while messing with my hands. The men started talking as I took in the surroundings around me. A voice broke me out of my trance. "Elle"

I turned to look at him. "Yes?" My voice broke. I knew what was gonna happen.

He sighed, "We need this to work. Are you up for the challenge?"

"Yes" I said.

Let me start from the very beginning.

I rushed around in the morning to get to work on time. I work at a cozy coffee shop just a few blocks away. I quickly gathered my stuff and headed to work. As soon as I walked in the door, the smell of the freshly brewed coffee hit me in the face and I smiled. One of my favorite things about this place is the coffee.

I walked over to the employee door and walked in.

"Hey Max!" I smiled.

"Hey boo."

I rolled my eyes and chuckled while putting a hand on my hip, "How many times have I told you not to call me that?"

"A lot but I don't care" He kissed my cheek before walking out to serve customers.

I chuckled and put my things away and grabbed my apron. Max and I have been friends for years. He is one of those best friends that you never want to let go of. I walked behind the counter and start my shift.

It is now 3 pm and I grab my stuff and walk to my car exhausted. I take a deep breath to let all of my stress go away.

"Elle!"

I turn around to see Max running towards me. "Hi Max."

"You want to hang out tonight?"

I smiled, "Of course"

"Ok see you later boo"

I rolled my eyes and turned around to get into my car and head home. As soon as I got home, I took a shower and then went to the kitchen to cook dinner. 20 minutes later, My dinner was done and I sat down at the table to eat the delicious chicken I made. Just then the doorbell rang. I sighed and went over to the door. 

"Max you interrupted my dinner"

"Good I'm hungry."

"I didn't say its for you" I laughed.

He laughed and walked to the stove to get food while I walked over to the table. He came over and sat down. "What movie are we gonna watch?"

"Comedy?" Max asked.

"Of course" I said.

We finished our dinner and headed to the movies. We were blaring music on the way there. Just then, "What Makes You Beautiful" came on and we were rocking out. After the song ended, Max turned down the music.

"Elle, You know how my dad runs a record?"

"Yes, of course."

"He is needing someone for a job. Do you think you might be interested?"

"Maybe. What is the job?" I got very curious.

"I don't know, he wouldn't tell me."

I took a breath. I could use the extra money to help pay college. "I'm interested. When can I make an interview?"
