I stood at the centre of the tunnel leaning on to the wall on my right. It was moisty and cold covered with droplets of water. On the far end of the tunnel I could see a shimmering bright light, gold and white which seemed to be waiting for me. Calling me to come forward and bathe in it. I wanted to go forward, I urged my feet to step forward but, something was stopping me, something I was yet not aware of.
"Stop! Its dangerous." A voice boomed in the empty space. I recognized that voice, it was a deep husky voice filled with anger and distress.
I commanded my feet to move, the light was disappearing I needed to go right now. "I told you to stop, listen to me please. Step back and stay away from that". What did he mean by that? Was he telling me to stay away from the light, but it was only escape. I needed to go, I had to go. Gathering all my will power, I began to move but every step I took it felt as if my feet got heavier and heavier. "Please, come back, trust me". I ignored the voice which echoed in my ear and began to walk, one foot in front of the other leaning on the wall for support. The light was changing, it wasn't the gold and white shimmer that drew my attention this time rather it was the small ball of darkness. It did not seem right, it did not look like it belonged there. Slowly, I watched as the beautiful shimmer began to engulf in a small ball of darkness, it started to grow bigger and bigger until it covered the end of the tunnel and began creeping inside. "No!No!No!" The deep voice cried.
I watched with horror as it came nearer. My stomach clenched, and my heart thumped in my ears.Vague hands formed from the ball of darkness. The tunnel was covered in darkness and so was my life.
