The Time We Won't Forget

Chapter Four

I walked into school the next day with Jess and we headed straight over to the bleachers where everyone was waiting for us
"Morning all" Jess said as we sat in our usual spots
"morning you two" mason replied, everyone else replied in their own special way
"how was the evening last night" Charlie asked
"It went smoothly dude, thankyou for putting that stuff in your mums shop for me" Caiden said to Charlie earning a glare from me
"You" I said making Charlie laugh
"Me" he replied allowing me to continue my glare which just made him laugh harder
"I should have known" I muttered loudly
"What did everyone else get up to last night" Caiden asked
"We all went to the beach and hung out" Haven said making Caiden instantly look away, am I meant to continue ignoring this
"Was it good" I asked making them all nod
"We had a fire on the beach and even made smores" Jess cooed
"Then we came home and camped the door" I said raising my eyebrows
"For the last time, I did not mean to walk out on your little make up session" she groaned, as soon as she finished that sentence Haven seemed to shuffle in her seat as if she was uncomfortable

"I cannot even begin to explain it" Charlie said as we were all sat around the table in English
"Dude it isn't that hard, we are describing a plant pot" Caiden chuckled,  our group exercise was describe this plant pot and Charlie was the last one to do it
"But you used all the words I could think of" Charlie whined
"We offered for you to go first but you then said you wanted to go last so that you could catch the feeling of what to do" I said making him glare
"You" He mimicked in the same tone as I had given him this morning
"Me" I chimed playfully
"It's just a ugly brown plant pot" he groaned
"your getting there you've found a negative adjective and the colour now keep going" I said
"It's an ugly redish brown plant pot with a lot of scraps and scratches over the body" he said earning a round of applause
"Well done bud, you did it" Mason said patronising him
"Be niceeee" Haven said making everyone bar the obvious laugh

I cannot shake the feeling like I am missing something, I'm not one to pry but come on something is obviously happening right in front of me. This was my time to shine
"hey Haven" I said walking into art, this was the only lesson I had without Caiden this year, its just me Jess and Haven
"Hey" she chimed
"you wanna fill me in" I cooed making her confused
"I know something has happened between you and Caiden, I just don't know what" I admitted making her sigh
"It is nothing really" she said making both me and Jess give her a look
"I'm someone who usually misses things but even I haven't missed that" Jess said making me laugh a little
"I just got really confused when I moved here" She said
"Confused over what" I asked
"Well when I met Caiden over the summer he never told me about you" she said, I furrowed my brows
"You met Caiden over the summer? He said he went away with his family" I said
"they did, they were only meant to be away for a week but then they met my family and we kind of just hit it off and he spent the rest of the summer we me and my family" she explained making both me and Jess wide eyed
"You are telling me, that not only did he lie to Maris, he also spent the entire summer with another girl" Jess said
"Yeah, i'm afraid so. I have no idea why he is ignoring me now and why he didn't tell you guys or better yet why he didn't tell me he had a girlfriend" Haven ranted
"In all honesty I can answer all those questions" I mumbled grabbing their full attention
"Well he is ignoring you in the hope we don't find out, he is not telling us because he doesn't want the boys to murder him and he didn't tell you about me because he semi dumped me before I went away for the summer" I said
"Semi dumped?" She asked
"They broke up after she told him he was going away, they then left it as they would sort themselves out when she got back" Jess said
"So he was unofficially single but also unofficially taken" haven asked making us all nod.
I guess I now know what he was hiding and I'm not gonna lie, I don't like it one bit
