It was like the world had lost all its color for him. The once happy and energetic Luigi was gone, it was to be replaced by a sad and gloomy version of the plumber. The once green hills where now grey in his eyes as he walked the familiar path home.

Bowser sat opon his throne, head on head, with a bored expression on his muzzle. He was waiting for Kamek to return so they could kidnap the Princess. He could never understand why she wasn't happy with him, he loved her. Kamek finally returned and the plan was put into action. What was the plan? You may ask. Well first they were going to pretend to kidnap the plumber's brother, Luigi, and while Mario was distracted they would swoop in and snatch Peach. It was the perfect plan, nothing could go wrong. Right?

The green loving sidekick finally made it home. Walking up the steps he takes out his key and was about to unlock the door when he saw a note on the door.

'Over at the castle if you need me'
is what the note read.

Typical, ever since we retired from being plumbers everything was about 'Peach'. He didn't even notice he was crying till one slid close to his lips and he could taste the saltiness of it. He unlocked and opened the door, immediately slamming it shut, and made his way to his room.

"K̶I̶L̶L̶ Y̶O̶U̶R̶S̶E̶L̶F̶."

"Y҉O҉U҉'R҉E҉ W҉O҉R҉T҉H҉L҉E҉S҉S҉."

"ꌩꂦꀎ'꒒꒒ ꈤꏂ꒦ꏂꋪ ꎇꀤꈤꀷ ꒒ꂦ꒦ꏂ."

"ሃዐሁዪ ክዐፕዘጎክኗ."

That is what the voices told Luigi. He sat up from his bed and wiped the tears away from his face as he began thinking about Mario. Suddenly the left side of Luigi's bedroom wall fell apart and there stood some koopas, all led by Bowser Jr.  This scared Luigi at first but when he realized it was just another attack on the kingdom he felt unbothered by it all, he was so used to the attacks that he felt a little bored by them now.

Lying back down on his bed, facing away from the enemies to show his disinterest. All his emotions were were jumbled, he felt so disconnected with himself. Bowser Jr, confused at Luigi's lack of interest towards the attack, ordered the koopas troops to grab the green man but before they were able to his Father's voice boomed through the walkie-talkie.

"Abort mission, just take the green man, but for real this time. I'll have to figure something else out."

"Roger that" a red koopa spoke and nodded to Bowser Jr. They grabbed Luigi who was still lost in thought.

As they started there journey back to Bowser's kingdom they put Luigi in a cell and gave him some food. Of course he didn't eat it. He didn't feel hungry.

About thirty minutes passed and Bowser Jr. came down to check on him.

"Mr. Luigi, are you ok? Usually you faint or you're shaking out of fear." Luigi didn't even look at the reptile, only nodded. He lied. He wasn't ok, he was far from it. But maybe he could trust the little villain, he just hoped that Bowser Jr. wouldn't leave him. He didn't think he could take anymore hits to the heart.

So he told him. He told him everything. From his agonizing brother to the girl who broke his heart and Bowser Jr. just listened and smiled. He would laugh at the way the ex plumber described his brother and would frown when he talked about Dasiy. At the end of the day Bowser Jr knew Luigi more than anyone else and never saw him as a failure, only as a broken man that needed love and Bowser Jr. wanted to be the one to give him that love that the green man so desperately needed. Luigi felt better after getting all of that off his chest. He could feel his eyelid getting heavy as a yawn escaped his lips.

"Maybe we should sleep" but the little koopa trailed off as he heard the steady breaths of Luigi, he wanted to go back to his more comfortable bed but ultimately decided that it be best to sleep with the green man. He unattached his shell and laid it on the table before crawling into the bed next to Luigi and cuddling up into him for warmth.
