I'm Going To Lose My Mind

Nathan's POV

After Cass ran after Ella, Bri and and El were quick to follow in her footsteps.

Right now, I really don't know what I'm feeling. I feel embarrassed, I know that for sure. But I'm also feeling something else. I feel.... At bit.... Jealous I guess? Jealous because the other boys can have stable relationship with Ella while I have to watch my every move to ensure that she won't get mad at me. But maybe that's the reason why we can't have a proper friendship. I'm trying too hard sometimes but sometimes I lose my mind and do stupid stuff. Then blame it on alcohol. But in a way, it was the alcohol's fault...

I'd erase my thoughts, 

If only I knew how....

But I don't think I'm jealous. Well I kinda am but there's something else but I'm not sure what...

I looked into what supposedly was Ella's bedroom window. I locked eyes with her before she turned away from me.

Ella's POV

I ran up the stairs and to my bedroom. I wanted to throw everything against the wall then jump on it. I don't even know why.

My bedroom door burst open and in walked the girls.

"Can I just have some time alone? Please?" I said meekly. They slowly nodded and backed out.

I looked down at the boys from my bedroom window with tear stained eyes. I caught Nathan's eye but quickly turned away.

I sat in front of my welcoming bed and leaned against it comfortably. I brought my knees up and hugged them close to me.

"Ella?"

I ignored Tom but he came in anyways. I need to get a lock on my door to prevent any unwelcomed guests.

He sat down next me and hugged me tightly. I was really grateful that he didn't make me say anything. I threw my arms around his waist and sobbed into his shirt.

"So. I'm your best friend now huh?"

I laughed then nodded. "Best guy friend."

He sighed. "Good enough for me."

"Thank you." I mumbled into his shirt. I looked up and was met by his warm eyes.

"What for?"

"For just being there when I need you the most and for being a fun person to be around." I smiled. He nodded. I stretched upward and kissed his cheek before resuming my previous position.

Someone knocked against the door. Tom unwrapped his arms from around me and slipped outside. I wonder who it is... But I have a feeling I already know. Nathan.

Tom's POV

"Nathan?" I asked in surprise. Didn't expect him. Well, I kinda expected him, kinda didn't.

"Can I talk to Ella?" Nathan asked pleadingly. I shrugged.

"It's up to her." I said then walked downstairs. He's obviously going to go in with or without Ella's consent. The reason why: he's Nathan James Sykes. What do you expect?

Ella's POV

I heard soft voices from outside my bedroom door. I waited patiently for Tom to come back bringing good news but instead of him, in came Nathan. Wonderful

"Nathan." I breathed out. He smiled slightly at me then took a seat next to me.

"Can I ask you something?" Nathan asked.

"Shoot."

"Do you like me?"

I didn't answer. After a moment of silence he sighed.

"Okay then. Can you say yes to my next question then?"

I shrugged. "Maybe."

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

My mouth formed a small 'o'. Then I sighed. "No. Maybe sometime in the future. But right now, no."

He opened his mouth to protest but I stopped him.

"Let me finish. I cant give you a yes to that question but I can give you something else. Two things actually."

He raised his eyebrows at me. "And what's that?"

I turned to face him then kissed him. I dont know what gave me the courage to do that but I did it. Can't back out now can I?

But wow. I felt butterflies everywhere.

He smiled widely making me laugh slightly against his lips. I pulled away then hugged him.

"Good enough for me. And the second thing?"

I could hear the smile in his voice.

"The second thing is... I want to be friends with you Nath. We might not be on safe grounds but I do want to at least be friends with you."

He slowly nodded. "I'll take what I can get."

We stood up then walked to the door and opened. The remainder of the boys and the three girls fell in but lucky for me, Nathan and I weren't directly facing the door so they face palmed our feet. So I guess it's foot palmed?

"Uh fancy seeing you here!" Max said. I gave him a sarcastic smile.

"So.... What's up with you two?" Cass asked casually. Psh as if you don't know.

I was about to retort back but Nathan spoke up.

"She'll go out with me in the future!" Nathan said excitedly. I sighed.

"I did not say that Nath." I grumbled. That's a bit of a lie but they don't have to know that.

"But you implied it."

I groaned. With these boys here, I'm going to lose my mind. But then again, when they leave, I'm going to lose my mind as well.
