I woke up to my sister opening the curtains in my room along with my alarm going off
"Wake up Mid," Sky said looking at me
"No, 5 more minutes," I whispered using my powers to close the curtains
"Come on Midnight! Mom's making pancakes!" Sky yelled
I sat up immediately and shoved her out of my room while I got ready.

I walked downstairs while mom was looking at the news but she turned the TV off once she saw me and Sky walking downstairs.
"What's wrong mom?" Sky asked
"Nothing, how'd you sleep girls?" Mom asked
"I slept alright," Sky and I said together
We all sat down and started eating before mom spoke up
"Listen, girls, I got called in for a very serious mission," She started to say
"More serious than having to terminate dad?" Sky and I asked
"Yes, I just need to make sure you'll head straight to Grandma's if anything goes wrong," Mom said
"We can protect ourselves but we will," Sky confirmed
"Thanks, girls. Now I've gotta go but remember head straight to Grandma's if anything goes wrong," Mom said getting up
"What about Missy?" I asked
"Missy is at Heroics Headquarters," Mom answered
"Why can't we go?" Sky asked
"We talked about this. You and Midnight are well trained. The kids at headquarters are being trained when you don't need training. Now I gotta go," Mom explained before walking out
"Mom's got a point we are very well trained," I said thinking aloud
Sky and I finished eating before we sat down and turned on the TV
"You know this is an epic Heroic smackdown event when they've called in Sharboy!" The female anchor said
"Earlier today, Sharkboy appeared from the ocean depths, landing on the beach of South Padre Island," The male anchor said
"And moments later, Lavagirl blasted up from inside an active volcano. She's from the Earth's core," The female anchor announced
(Time skip)
It was only uncle Marcus and mom left fighting the aliens but mom got captured
"We need to go!" Sky yelled running upstairs
"What about Uncle Marcus?" I asked following her as I saw him get captured
"Mom said to go straight to Grandma's if anything goes wrong!" Sky answered grabbing her stuff
I rushed to my room and grabbed my things before I ran back down and we ran to our Grandma's place.
"Hello girls," Grandma said hugging us as we headed inside
"I'm going to read a book," I said walking to Sky and I's room before I got a call from Missy
"Miss? Are you okay?" I asked
"Yeah, don't panic but we might be in danger. Where are you?" Missy asked
"At Grandma's. But What do you mean we?" I asked
"No time to explain but I'll be at Grandma's soon with some guests," Missy answered before she hung up
A/N: I know Midnight and Skylight sound really similar but I think they really represent their powers
